This product cannot be effective without being secured by each of the Velcro tabs. Unfortunately, at least one of them has completely failed after less than 3 weeks. It can be re-sewn but, because of the fraying, it's only a matter of time before it happens again. This has the potential to be a very good product that produces results. Please find a better way for it to be secured in place.

Back in April I had a bad ankle injury that landed me in a boot. At night, I was advised to wear this, as the boot was clunky and heavy. This did the job and wasn’t uncomfortable to wear. I felt supported the entire night, even with lots of tossing and turning.

Had my Achilles tendon repaired and couldn’t stand the weight of the boot they put me in after cast was removed. This worked perfectly. It afforded me the ability to ice my incisions.

The Brace on Night Splint was recommended by my doctor for support of foot at night. In the bottom of the splint, there is a small angled block that velcros to the bottom of the splint which is adjustable to help provide calf stretch, which is a great feature. However, when sleeping with the splint on at night , I found it to be a bit uncomfortable, because the calf height needed to be couple inches higher for me, or the padding need's to be a bit more at at the top. Maybe an extra pad to insert at the top would help make it more comfortable while sleeping.

After only three months the velcro won't stay closed, plus the lower hook seams are coming apart. It comes off at night, usually one of the lower ones. Fits well and is soft and comfortable -- unfortunately, the velcro is just a weak point in the design. It's going to end up in the trash pretty soon.

If you need to use this for more than a couple weeks then good luck. The area of fabric where you place the Velcro for the top strap wears out after repeated use and does not hold. I had a similar one of these that lasted much, much longer.

I tried other plantar fascitis braces, including the Strausberg sock. Nothing kept my foot in place at 90 degrees without a killer foot squeeze, OT just didn't keep the foot in place at all. This one keeps the foot at 90 & still relatively comfortable. Also has soft material all around it, so it's not uncomfortable on the other leg. This was the answer I was looking for. Only needed to wear it fir about a week or so. Been pain-free for about a year now.

I tried different kinds of splints. I think that everyone is going to value different things. This one is bigger, and bulkier than other styles (and there is no place for the velcro to attach except the fabric), but it kept my foot at the right angle better than the 2 other braces I tried, and it is more comfortable because it is soft. The wedge works well to give my toes additional elevation.
