This is a heavy unit. It look nice. It feels heavy duty. It does work. It is another way to spread your brake calipers open. It can be used for 1 and multiple piston. It works great. It should last for a long time. Built well.

I've been doing my own brake jobs for decades, and have always made do with a c-clamp or quick clamp for pushing the piston back in the caliper. I had the chance to try this tool, so i went for it. I suppose I should have noticed on the product page that this tool weighs almost 5 pounds, but first impression is that it is way overkill for the bikes and passenger cars I have to work on.It was also much more difficult to turn than expected. I thought it might just be in need of some light oil on the leadscrew, but that didn't do a thing. Ultimately, I found that the locknut on the end of the screw was just too tight and creating excess friction. Once I loosened it a little it was much easier to turn. Overall, it will certainly perform its intended function, but there are other tools that I think would be lighter and easier to use, including the trusty quick clamp.
