Great size for the price. All coffee lovers should get this but their flavor.

The Happy Belly brand is good value for money. I buy other products like their peppercorns and the packaging always keeps the product fresh. The same can be said for this coffee, but the taste was not what I was looking for. That is not a knock on the product, it is a nice cup of coffee. It is a personal choice as I like the darker, Italian style of brew.

With your daily cup of coffee, you often want to have good quality and good taste at a fair price. But the canister i got was most vinegary, unnatural sour notes i had ever gotten despite having 3 more years of shelf life listed on it.To clarify, i don't consider myself a snob but rather a value hunter, i love hunting good bargains for cups with great rich chocolatey notes, picking out the nuttiness and finding ways to improve even say a diner cup with milk and sugar to try to get the most out of my daily cups at a good price.I've gotten great results with cheap but intensely flavorful coffees before, and even if a cup came out too bitter black adding sugar or milk often helped turn it into a dark chocolate coffee like concoction. I don't turn my nose up at price, only quality. And i've turned my nose up before at shitty burnt 10$ starbucks coffees for rich and chocolately and full bodied 3$ cafe bustelos before. This coffee gave me high hopes after reading the reviews. Described as "excellent cup!" and "Great and nutty!". I recieved a canister that smelled alright, intense and a touch more acidic, and produced a extremely shitty cup with medium bitterness, and harsh unnatural vinegar and off lemon aftertones.Yes. Vinegar and lemon aftertones.... in coffee. Not excessively bitter, no, not just bad or plain tasting. You heard that correct. It produced a extremely unnaturally sour cup with very little ingredient synergy like harsh vinegar and mild chocolate clashing, as well as harsh unnatural sourness like lemon water overmarking moderate coffee bitter undertones. The cups were absolutely unsalvagable after trying to brew 5-20 cups and checking equipment. I checked and washed, i brewed other cups of cheap but delicious nutty and chocolately coffees. They were excellent. I rebrewed this coffee many times, i tried drip brew, pourover, cold brew. Every result was the same. A uniquely shitty and irredeemable overpowering vinegar and lemon flavor that tasted like a cleaning product took over every cup. I had never heard of even the worst coffees producing a vile and vinegar like cup.Only intensely bitter awful cups that could be mildly salvaged by cream and sugar. Putting cream and sugar in this made it worse. It made it this vile concotion that was like off lemon water with vinegar and coffee combined. From what i could narrow down, the coffee portion itself seemed like a mild bitterness and slightly nutty, very low or mild chocolate taste next to a freight train of bitter, awful mouth spitting vinegar and off lemon mouthfeel.I'm not trying to be harsh, i really wanted to like this coffee, but i'm just trying to review the only reference i had. which is this canister that seems.. horribly off from everyone else's. [Perhaps it isn't the coffee, but perhaps a batch made after a machine was being cleaned? My canister tastes horribly like a lemon vinegar cleaning product and the coffee should be good for 3 more years and doesn't seem rotten, but there's a unmistakable really shitty and unnatural overpowering lemon and vinegar taste in mine, i don't know what the hell is going on.]Anyways, i don't want to be too harsh, the price was okay for 5$, i don't consider myself a snob but after 5-10 attempts, not a single cup from the lemon vinegar canister i got seemed natural for a coffee. I don't think i got sick, but it was still vile to drink and i don't use that loosely. I'm happy to try coaxing a good chocolately or rich intense flavor from a value coffee, but after 5-20 cups of brew, not a single cup from the canister i got was very redeemable yet the notes don't seem marked anywhere.I tried hard to like it, but it in all my life, was the only canister i ever had to be honest with myself and throw away. Mine just wasn't matching the other reviews notes of nuttiness or good flavor. I legitimately wonder if my cansister might have been a small batch after a cleaning operation, since others seemed to like theirs very much, while lemon and vinegar notes rarely if ever, happen even with the cheapest coffees. It tasted a lot like a harsh vinegar + lemon cleaning product. I was not trying to be harsh, but just fairly review the canister i got to be fair for other consumers.[If Amazon or the merchant thought the canister might have been off, i would be happy to try giving a fair retrial. I did legitimately want to like this coffee, i just can't but help feel like either something was off with mine or it got cross mixed with a vinegar/lemon cleaning process during the roasting process ]
