No-frills and robust construction of a tried-and-true design. The quality seems comparable to the wrecked original on my vintage Speedaire. The valve turns freely and closes flush and tight. After comparing this to one with a ball valve, I actually installed the one with the ball valve, as that one is a lot easier to use. However, if the ball valve ever leaks, I will come back to this.

I recently found an old Coleman air compressor for free on the side of the road and completely restored it, but the drain valve is one thing I didn't have on hand. This was a 1 for 1 perfect drop in replacement and it works really well. Seals perfect and works every time.

Very well made. Fits the opening. Has an o-ring to help seal it. Handle seems to be staked to the stem well.
