This arrived in a flat box and did not need to be put together, just sort of opened up. It looks much more high-end than it really is. Very happy with this purchase.

I needed bedside storage for my ever-growing collection of pillows, throws, etc. and took a chance on this one purely due to the color. (Other sellers seem to only offer grey, black, white, taupe.) I am very happy with my purchase and relieved to discover that it holds more than I expected. Keep in mind, this is a pop-up style ottoman or trunk. (No assembly required!) I've seen other reviews recommending that you NOT sit on this and I would concur. I'm a small person, but am afraid to test it. It's made of "engineered board" that is thin and lightweight. It has been great for propping my feet up and the top is more plush than expected. The fabric is velvet; both soft and attractive. It seems well-made and, again, it holds several large pillows and throw blankets. As shown in my included image, the color is not as bright as shown on the product page, but it ended up being the exact color I wanted. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs ottoman storage and/or a place to put up your feet!
