This is a tough unit! I had an 180amp load going through it and it took it like a champ. Here are some notes about that though. This was the second one I purchased, the first one over heated and melted the solder (my fault). The mounting base is brass but is not flat (it appears to be stamped out of a sheet) and is plated with what I assume to be, nickel. So, what I did was use a large belt sander to get the back surface mostly flat then I used used a granite machine block (because it's what I had access to) to sand it flat then I attached a large aluminum heat sink to that with a good thermal paste. It still got a bit hot (175f) but with a cooling fan I'm sure it would have stayed pretty cool. But otherwise, it took every bit of what I threw at it!

Used in battery charger, on 12V 6A became pretty warm without radiator.. Hope will work for long time.

I have been using this for about 5 weeks now for a project. it is giving me a consistent DC voltage. I think this is working fine with no issues.

Varicella built device. It's totally a must have if you mess around with motors that are DC and you only have an AC power source. Work perfect. No glitches. Not really any heat.
