Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Just got back from a 6 day 2000 mile road trip on my Goldwing. Went through heat and cold. Also, a zero visibility sand storm and 65 mile an hour winds in Nevada. The tire made me feel safe.
