I have a 2-stage snowblower with a 305cc Briggs and Stratton 1450 series engine that never came reinstalled with a carburetor shut-off valve. That meant I either run the snowblower dry or let gas sit in the carburetor till the next time I use it. I ran into a YouTube video that showed a B&S 1350 series engine cover having a dedicated pre-cut hole for the shut-off valve and to my surprise, I had it in my 1450 engine as well, so all I had to do was install this within the fuel line as described in the video. Worked flawlessly and the shut-off was a perfect match. You can never tell it was a DIY install. Now I’ll just flip this to the “off” position anytime I’m finished running the snowblower to run the carburetor dry between uses and avoid having it clog up.

I chose this part because it said it was a Briggs & Stratton part. The part I received was in an unmarked plastic bag. The only markings on the part said "ITW Fastex". I don't like it when I think I am getting something I paid for based on the listing and something else shows up. We'll see how it holds up.

I have tried the Generic Fuel shut off valves. Even though they are all made in the same country, the generics are faulty when you get them or soon after. Even though Briggs&Stratton 90 degree valves are real expensive, they are good. Can't find these 90 degree shut off valves in the stores in this politically ruined State. So Thank you Amazon.

I installed this on old two stage yard machine snow blower I picked up. The fuel line had been replaced and the shut off was missing. It was a easy install, took less than a minute. I especially like the positive click when shutting the fuel off.I would buy it again if I have a need for another shutoff under a gas tank. Worked great.

I am a rabid handyman and have worked on engines for 50 years. With the NASTY ethanol gas we are forced by congress to buy, I tell all my customers to TURN OFF THE GAS and RUN THE CARBURETOR dry, do not use the ignition switch. The ethanol sucks up water, which turns to acid, which destroys carburetors, so you MUST have a gas shut-off. Why do you think the market is now flooded with Chinese replacement carbs? Because in the next season, nothing runs! It helps my business, but infuriates taxpayers across the fruited plain. Buy one of these fuel shut offs for every engine you know, even people you DON'T like. It will make you a better person and they will wonder WHY you saved their engine.

its a B&S fuel clock... action and feel is good. I would buy again. One Note: it does "click" to the open/closed position. Not sure why, but you need to make sure to feel for it. My buddy put one on his snow blower and tried to start it. After 30 pulls and no start, he realized he did not turn in till the click, and the engine was not getting fuel. :( after the click, started first pull

Got this for my kids cheapy Atv. It did not come with a fuel shutoff which was stupid. The original line was leaking and decided this along with a filter was great addition. It works very well. I had to use it alot when I need to do Carb work where I would have needed to drain the tank without this Valve. Price was great and product was great.

I wanted the ability to run my gas yard equipment "dry" for winter storage. Some of them do not have a gas line shut off. This valve fits 1/4 inch inner diameter lines. The installation was easy. This is a right bend valve, so determine where in the line you want the 90 degree bend (I installed mine where there was an existing bend in the line, hence using this specific valve). Just use hose clips about 2 inches apart on the line to cut off flow. Use a sharp blade to cut the line between the clIps. Put the hose clamps provided, on each cut line end, close to the clips, push the hose ends onto the valve stems (MAKE NOTE OF THE FLOW DIRECTION ARROW ON THE VALVE BODY). Slide the hose clamps toward the valve to clamp over each end to hold them onto the valve. Remove the hose clips and you are done. The other option is to empty the gas tank, run the unit dry, and then do the same steps, except you won't need to use hose clips to stop the flow, as the line should be dry/empty. Actual install time is about 8 minutes. Keep in mind that this valve may add about an inch to the length of the line you are installing it on. (Unless like me, you cut off some of the hose around the "bend" so the 90 degree valve takes the place of the "bend")
