After having them installed for 1 summer one of the lights stopped working and seemed to get extremely discoloured compared to the other marker light.

I haven't had any issues but after 6 months the color has faded where my cover did not fully cover them.

I purchased these as part of a project to add lighting to my backwater jonboat (Lund 1436L).The lights seem high quality with good machining and finishing, the lights are bright no complaint, HOWEVER.The cutoff angle of these lights is symmetrical front to back. The mounting area on the sides of my bow are about 11* from centerline and if one were to mount these the light would not project straight forward and would project too far back, not meeting USCG requirements and thus not legal. If you dig you will find they specifically call out mounting them 34* from the boats centerline.I wanted to use them, they are small, flush, bright, well made. But it's not that easy, they simply do not work for my application. Keep this in mind.

You have to drill a 1" hole in your boat. I was nervous but I measured it out and used a small drill bit, and used my step up drill bit until I reached the 1". I used silicone around the hole, and mounted the LED in place. There is 2 nuts that go on the back side. I had to have someone hold the outside of the LED so I could tighten it up. They are bright, and flush with my boat. Gives it a nice look.

Install was easy. Wires are 22 Awg like mentioned in description, wish they were 14 awg but it will work. Time will tell if they’re worth it. So far so good though. Only complaint is there’s no instructions as to which way the angle is facing, so I installed them with showing letters readable and not upside down.

We installed these on a Gheenoe (canoe-type boat with a motor). The bow frequently is drenched with the bow wave, but these seem to be holding up to the abuse. Very bright! Look sleek. Small so they don't call too much attention to themselves. They are not huge like the shark eye lights that are often installed on these vessels. So far, we are very pleased with these nav lights.

Overall a really good little light. As noted in other reviews, they must be installed at the proper angle so that they can be seen in accordance with regulations. I installed just over the rail at the bow so took advantage of the hull angle. I would have given 5 stars except the wires that exit the lights are too small. I'm sure they are plenty capable of lighting the LEDs long term however in a marine environment they should be larger purely for strength. Would be worth the extra $0.05 during manufacturing to move up a few gauges.

Very well made. Fortunately the front of my boat has just enough inward angle that you can see both lights from the front. They are both very bright and easy to install. Just drill a 1" hole and you are good to go. I wish they had a set screw or some way of keeping it still while working it from the inside. I had to have my wife hold it for me. Also, a rubber gasket for the outside would be nice. Other than that this is an excellent product.

These are even better quality in person than the pictures show. Fits flush with the hull of my kayak. Looks great. I put a dab of silicone underneath, just to help with waterproofing. Not sure that was even necessary it sits so flush and tight against the hull.To install just run the negative to the battery. Then run a positive to a on/off toggle switch, and then positive from the switch to the battery.(Excuse the catfish slime around the switch on my kayak's center console. Kayak is a Vibe Sea Ghost 130. Needed the navigation lights as I have a motor, and the law requires them on kayaks with motors.)One of the easiest mods I've done yet. Highly recommend this product.
