It produces a lustrous patina, not a glossy surface shine. It is suitable for use as a finish on new wood or stripped furniture, a reconditioner for old or damaged finishes, a furniture wax for fine furniture and antiques or an antiquing agent where the desire is to "age" a newly painted carving or project. Tinted waxes can be lightened or removed with the clear wax. 1 Pound.

I used this product as a way to rejuvenate my 30+ year old factory kitchen cabinets versus painting them The results were better than I expected. I had purchased two different colors thinking I would decide which one to use. I ended up using both and the results were great! (I used Light Brown and then Rustic Pine). Highly recommend!

I bought this to treat some antique furniture I have, all with ~90-120 year old original finishes. Some were shellac, some were lacquer. This product was great at making them shinny again. I am very impressed with this product and will be a lifelong customer now.The only drawback is they do smell somewhat strongly of chemicals, which not everyone will tolerate. The smell goes away very quickly after an item is treated, but if you open the can and start applying it anyone in/near the room will notice it. It did not take long for the smell to go away, so its not much of a drawback, but some people might not like that.I never expected it to make such a good improvement in reshining old original finishes.

I have always used Briwax. I bought a rustic coffee table for my daughter. Briwax restored the color of the wood using the natural color. They offer many variations in color depending on the color finish desired. Highly recommend. You only need a very small amount so a can will last you years.

We bought a table from a specialty furniture manufacturing company in Los Angeles that makes tables, chairs and couches from recycled woods from old demolished homes. Our table over time had some marks on it. We called the manufacture and they had on record the exact table we purchased and the finish that was used. It was light brown Briwax. We ordered the Briwax from Amazon which was easy to find. We wiped down the table and applied the Briwax, let it dry a bit and polished with a cloth. All the marks disappeared and the table looks EXACTLY like new. Our table surface is lightly sanded during manufacture, giving a somewhat antique smooth finish with the original band saw marks still showing when the original lumber was made. The woods are old growth heart pine from a building erected in the early 1900s in New York City. The Briwax application was easy and didn't take more than 10 minutes for the complete tabletop. I believe the manufacture once told us that Briwax was used for this very reason. Briwax is a combination of paraffin, carnuba, stain and solvent in a paste form.
