As vinyl windows age, the track for the window can get dirty and tacky. When pressure is applied to heavily, the thing that gives way are these pivot pins - one on each side of each window. They can be replaced with a screwdriver and common sense.Check the sketches so that you are replacing with the correct pin and it will take a little torque to move the screw through the new track in the pin but you will save big on having it done by a professional. Buy a bag of 6+ because you know that, if two broke this month, more will follow.A good product worth purchasing.

Easy to install and delivered next day.I first called the window company and was told a technician would come out for $190.00 that didn’t cover parts. Also I was told it may take 3-6 weeks for service.

We had all 16 windows replaced in our home, with the newer tilt in windows. 2 of these pivot pins were broken during our extensive home renovation, making 2 windows unsafe to open. I easily replaced these pivot pins. The windows now work well!
