The heating element went out on our Broan ceiling vent/heater. We had an electrician here doing other work and he changed this element out for us in just a few minutes.

My original heating element burned out after 5 years of daily use. This replacement fit perfectly. It was an easier job than I expected. When you open up your fan unit, have a small blower on hand and blow all the dust out before you put things back together. I’m a 72 year old grandma. If I can do this, you can too :-)

The unit is easy to replace. It puts out good heat. This is the second replacement part I have purchased for the fan/light/heater unit. They seem to last about 3-4 years then just stop. The issue is the thermal fuse. They seem to just get old and stop conducting. Maybe I'm just cheap but for a part that is just a resistance coil and a fuse, I think it should last longer.I was able to find replacement fuses on amazon, Thermal Fuse Thermal Cutoff Limiter 110C Degrees Celsius 10 Pack for $10,, so I purchased those and after installing the new item here, I cut out the fuse from the old unit and soldered in the replacement fuse, put all of that in the little box and saved it for the next time it goes out and will rotate the parts then and solder up the next one.

We need to replace the element every year. 10 months this last time. We have replaced (11) of these elements over the life of our Nutone 3-in-One bathroom ceiling fixture. Nutone has been around since Fido was a pup, why can't they build a heating element that last more than a year? Are we going to be replacing this heating element once a year for the rest of our lives?? BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OR YOU'LL BE SORRY-ER.To extend the life of the new heating element, first remove the entire fan housing which is needed to replace the element. Then use an air compressor and air gun to direct an airstream into the fan blades of the blower drum which will cause the blower wheel to spin fast and also push a snow flurry of blade-dust out of the discharge tunnel. My wife is a daily hairspray user, but the dust collected on the blower blades was removed leaving no trace of oil film which health-wise was encouraging. The combination of dust packed fan blades and overwhelming heat output by the element will cause the element to burn out early. A condition that engineers are taught to include in analyzing mechanical failures. I will be contacting Broan-Nutone in the near future to see if they plan on creating a more durable element, and report back my findings.7/22/ to Oct.1, 2023 was how long the replacement heat-element lasted. I reported that I removed the entire blower unit and air-streamed the dust from the cage blades and what did that get me?...that's right 1-yr., 8-days of heat. There's more to this engineering thing that I thought. With my next replacement procedure, I'll notice and photo the accumulated dust build-up for Nutone's reference as a blind-study since my wife's still uses hair spray with the heater blowing. Again, we both recommend the 4-yr. extended warranty for claw-back.

My bathroom ceiling heater stopped working. I was going to replace the entire unit, but decided to first do some research online. I read reviews of the Broan unit that is in my bathroom and watched a video on YouTube, that explained how to repair the unit without a total replacement. I called Broan customer service. They gave me the part/model number of the heater element and advised me that I could buy it from them or find it online at Amazon (cheaper). I ordered the element and received it quickly. My son was able to remove the old element and replace it with the new one without any difficulty. He does have DIY skills. No professional required. I watched while he worked and it looked like a fairly simple process, especially if you watch the tutorial, first. The heater is now working great again. I would recommend this product.

Was ready to hit the button to purchase a new Light/Fan/Heater from Home Depot. I saw that someone asked about replacing heater element and I started to look into that. Watched one You Tube Video and was ready to repair. 40 bucks to repair instead of 280 for a new one. 2 Screws to pop out the heater motor and 2 plug in wire clips. Blow it out good, you'll be amazed at the lint and fur that come flying out. Works like new!!!

Easy and quick to install. Great to feel that heat again (it's winter right now). Looks like the thermal fuse tripped on original, but replacing heating unit is much easier than coming up with a way to replace the fuse because of the layout and need to have mechanical fixation.

It's a great product! It gave me the opportunity to replace just the heating element instead of the whole heator or unit. I was ecstatic to pay the $44 dollar for the part. Probably saved $110 to replace just the heator side & it saved me $180 IF I replace the whole unit. There were only two screws to remove the blower & four screws holding in the element. Have confidence, you can do it & save lots of money. It's a 15 to 25 minute exchange.
