Not cheap floppy plastic very solid and durable. Excellent variety of sizes of circles & ellipses. I’m an illustrator and tattooer and these are perfect for my work. Great value for the amount of stencils in this package.

Over time, the quality of products has declined as manufacturers make cheap flimsy junk to cut costs. This is not the case with Bronagrand’s drafting templates. I’m a 30+ yr draftsman. This reminds me of the good products in the ‘70’s. The plastic is thicker and more durable. The templates are dimpled, which prevents ink from getting sucked under the template. This is an exceptionally good product. I’d buy more, but I probably won’t need to. i’m using circle and elliptical templates. These are built to last a lifetime. Buy these products!!

The template of the two described as "ovals" is somewhat off the mark, description-wise. The shapes are actually ellipses, which are indeed very specific types of ovals. However, my intended use was to lay out shapes on materials to cut and fit in "standard" "oval" jewelry findings and these "ovals" are NOT ellipses, being somewhat rounder/less narrow than an ellipse of the same long dimension.Think of the difference between an uppercase letter "O" (in most fonts it's an oval) and a numeral "0" (somewhat of an ellipse) to help visualize the two shapes.So if your use case involves needing actual oval shapes to match up with jewelry findings or similar, I suggest you select a different product.

These work great. I use them for drawing shapes within mandalas. The plastic is thick and definitely durable. I like that they aren't flimsy because I can get more accurate shapes each time I trace one. I felt like the price was great for the quality of the product because it was exactly what I needed. I am glad I bought these and would definitely recommend it for both adults and children. They have a great variety of shapes that can be combined in a multitude of different ways, while still keeping the set minimal (don't need to shuffle through 50 stencil sheets to find the right shape).

I docked one star because the oval template arrived cracked in two places. However a bit of super glue was able to fix that and both templates work really well for the smaller circles and ovals I draw where I really need precision (for some reason my normally steady hands turn to shaky messes when concentrating on making nice, clean lines) :)
