Excelente. 😋

Simple setup, simple software. I have used this scanner weekly for 3 years. It is slow for a standalone scanner. However, it will beat the pants off any all in one printer. Double sided color scanning and OCR are there and work fine. There is a length limit, so those long Walmart or Costco receipts need to be cut down.

I've been using sheetfed scanners for many years (since the earlier Visioneer/Paperport models) and this has been the best one yet. In fact, after using it for 3 years, I don't really see a reason to replace it like I have others. I had the previous Brother model with was nice but still had room for improvement. The design of this scanner is a major improvement over any previous sheetfed scanner I've had. Specifically, the cleaning is SO much easier. I haven't had to clean it as often as others, but when I do it is incredibly easy. Just tilt the top piece open and you have clear access to rollers and scanning service! Compared to having to remove shell pieces, lifting up rollers and shoving a cotton swab into and dragging it from side to side, this designed was reason enough to upgrade. As for the rest of it, I don't really have much to complain about. Double sided scanning works well and is definitely a time saver, and the quality of the scanning is good (I scan documents only, no photos). I also like the compact size and the straight paper path. During scanning some times it will cut off a part of the document if it has a very dark color along the lead or trailing edge (common with these scanners) even while scanning in color, and when scanning in grayscale it seems almost impossible to get a scan where the white is actually white. It seems to scan in very low contrast even if I boost the contrast in settings. I have found it easier to scan first in color and then convert to grayscale afterwards (the scanning speeds it he same for color/grayscale).

Brother Two Sided Color Scanner is an excellent product which never breaks down. The receipts scan is not that great as it does not catch the dollar amount, name, date. This scanner can also scan little thick cards.I had Neat Receipts for 200 dollars and it would just fail to start the software. Neat Receipts also had limitation of software for older version of Windows which is not an issue for Brother.Amazon should make available the wifi version of scanner of Brother.

I have been looking for a good little portable scanner so that I can eliminate keeping up with paper. When I saw this was USB powered, and it was Duplex, and it was color. I had to try it. I have been through almost 1000 sheets now and it is still going strong. It says 8PPM single sided and 5PPM duplex but I swap back and forth and see no difference, it is around 8 to 10 PPM for me regardless. I am scanning by default in 200dpi color into PDF files.Features I love:Portable - It goes with me in my backpack and hooks up in seconds, USB powered.Multiple formats - The software will do Multipage PDF or tiff or single JPG or BMP. I haven't even tried the extra software that comes with it.Page Sensor - There is a page sensor on the front that will detect when a page is inserted. It even gives you a second or two to get the page straight before the rollers take it. When they do, hit scan and feed page after page until done. Results are stored in mult-page document (if selected).Scanning Sleeve included - There is a clear scanning sleeve for small items.Things that I don't love.No sheet feeder. However, I knew this when I purchased and it helps keep down on the size, increasing portability. The scan button on the printer only works for MAC, not windows. You have to initiate windows scans via the software.Overall impression, this is a great scanner, solid and works well. The price is very good considering it is a duplex. This really saves time by scanning both sides at once. That feature works very well for me. All in all, I think this is a terrific scanner and would recommend it to anyone.

I was debating on whether or not to get this scanner or the SVP 2-in-1 scanner. Now that I have had a chance to use the DS720D, I am very happy with the decision I made. The main thing I like about it is the control you have in the software for how pages are scanned. When scanning a document, you have the option to capture pages as an image file or PDF.If you choose to do a single page PDF, the software scans the first page then gives you 30 seconds to insert the next at which point you can just insert a new page and it will continue scanning each paper into its own file; This is very handy for streamlined scanning. The multi-page option works the same way, only every scan is added to the same document. Having the duplex option is really nice too, as it keeps you from needing to send the same page through twice.Pros:+Duplex scanning+B&W, Gray scale, and color opotions+100 to 600 dpi options+Pretty fast scanning (depending on you settings)+Brother scanning software is simple and allows some automation+Large range of paper sizes supported unlike some other scannersCons:-While it has a paper alignment slider, occasionally the paper will start pulling to the side. This is expected, and you get used to getting it in straight, but still a bummer when it happens-Requires software to scan (doesn't support standalone scanning to an SD card). This is one reason I bought this one, but it would be a nice feature-Included bonus software isn't available online, only on the CD (Brother scan software can be downloaded)-Takes some work to get longer papers to scan properly (have to set it to "Max" paper size)

I bought this little scanner to try to rid myself of all of this paper accumulated over the years, hopefully to consolidate all of these various files, receipts, tax records, etc. into a manageable file system on my desktop. It works well with both Linux and Windows, scans in color/duplex, to PDF or whatever other flavor you like. The only thing that I see as a drawback, (and it was my mistake) is that this is a one-page-at-a-time proposition. I for whatever reason, thought it had an automatic document feeder - it doesn't. It also takes a bit of practice to get the pages loaded in right so you don't skew your images. Not a big deal, considering the price though. It just makes scanning big projects a little slower, although it is much, much faster than a flatbed scanner. The scanner is small, light, portable and relatively cheap. It does not print. It's a scanner - all it does is scan. So far, I'm pretty happy with it - no complaints about the quality or function, it does just what it said it would do and does it pretty well.
