This is fine gun case, but it's a little thin. It might float, but I like the thickness more for protection, and this one is a little thinner than I was expecting. It's just good enough that I will not return it, but wouldn't buy it twice.

Got wet with light wash and the outer fabric didn’t repeal any water it soaked it all up and made the inside of the bag damp and soaked my gun.

Looks good and works great, had this case with my shotgun in it on my back walking in swamp above my waist so half of the case was fully submerged in the water till I got to our hunting spot. My gun was dry as can be when I got there so the waterproof function works. I love the case so much a few months later I purchased a second one.
