This preamp is a solid choice for anyone looking to amplify their acoustic guitar. The 4-band EQ gives you a lot of control over your sound, and the notch function helps eliminate feedback. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, making it simple to adjust settings on the fly. It's powered by a 9V battery, which isn't included, so make sure you have one on hand. This isn't some high end audiophile equipment, with just fair to middlin' sound. But for my use, which was electrifying a homemade cigar-box banjo, it worked a treat. I was a bit worried that it would race through 9-volt batteries, but it's not bad on that score. Easy to install.
