The fuel line, and the sensor are made from soft metal. The threads on the sensor, and the fuel line both got damaged trying to install the new sensor. This cost us an additional $250, and 7 days more of down time. To be honest and fair I would recommend buying a Ford sensor. I am going to also put out there that the old sensor could have been cross threaded in the line from the factory causing the problem with the installation of the new sensor, but the new sensor would thread in easily and then stop without being seated fully. When we removed it to see what was going on it left most of the threads on it in the fuel line fitting. So word of caution be mindful of removing the old sensor and installing the new sensor because you can easily damage both the fuel line and sensor both.
