It is built to last and fits perfectly in my bucket. You can dump and rinse without removing, but if you would like to remove no worries, a little tug and pops out. This separater I'm using for my windshield wash bucket.

Great for the two bucket car wash method, it separates all the dirt to the bottom of the bucket which is really important so you don’t scratch paint jobs.

Works ok if u put the wash Mit in the bucket to hold the grit guard down while filling the bucket

There are several issues that I have with this product. 1) it is made of lightweight plastic, with no weight to prevent it from moving. 2) because of its diameter it will only fit a 5 gallon bucket. 3) because of its makeup it has a tendency to float to the top of the bucket/water level.. 4) Pushing it down causes the water in the bucket to swirl thus disturbing the grit on the bottom defeating its basic purpose! 5) even if you put a weight on it to keep it at the bottom of the bucket, every time you try and rinse the rag/mitt that you are washing the vehicle with, the turbulence causes the water to get cloudy.Your experience may be different than mine but I would not recommend nor buy this again

These things are supposed to stay at the bottom of a bucket and trap dirt below it if it floats that means it is doing nothing, and these float.

This simple plastic item seems high quality and fits great in my bucket. Only problem is that it floats to the top and it’s supposed to stay at the bottom. I need to wedge a few pieces of rubber to keep it down.
