I used these for a rather different purpose... I slid them between the frame, and cover of my motorcycle tent, so snow would more tend to slid off, than collect, which potentially, can cause the cover to collapse, or rip. I will have to make a couple of adjustments to them, but, they fit where I wanted them, and so far, seem to be accomplishing what I wanted them for.

These are about half the diameter of a standard pool noodle; far too thin to use for buoyancy.
