Good item, gives an extra 2 feet or so lengthto you leash. Best attribute is its bungie cord build so you don't abruptly jerk your walking partner.

I bought this as an inexpensive way to protect my retractable leash from my dog’s tendency to playfully grab the line with his teeth (i.e., much cheaper to replace this extension versus an entire leash). Bungee action is a big plus as it aids in comfort.

It was great until it broke while my dog was attached. I would that is not ideal, yeah?I have bought both lengths. Both broke on separate occasions. My dog is only 45#, and not a strong/frequent puller. I would stay away from these. 👎👎

Just what I was looking for so I bought four. However, after one year two have completely stretched out loosing all elasticity. Two have lost half the elasticity (latex?) and now twist and rotate. Worked great when new but lacks in durability. Debating on whether to buy again.

I use it at the end of my trolley system for my dogs; it'll be a good stake and line attachment, too. It prevents my dog from tugging so much and causing too much tension on the line. It latches securely, and my dog has yet to escape from it. It has been doing good under multiple weather conditions for a year, even though it has lost some elasticity. It serves a good purpose for my 45-pound husky mix (medium dog). It is on the heavier latch side, which is not ideal for small dogs.

It was great until it broke in less than 2 months, as a result my dog ran away. It took two hours and a $500 reward to get him back.

Basic dog leash -- good materials, construction.I use it on a 100 lb. Great Pyrenees. I'm a little old guy that needs to control a BIG dog that likes to go crazy from time to time. The stretch makes a big difference when my dog hits the end of the leash at full speed.I like two handles. They could have padded the loops a bit more.

My large young dog is a runner and something to dilute trachea damage is really important. He absolutely won't tolerate the kind of harness that has a front attachment that pulls to the side, which worked perfectly for our other dog. Oh well.This is working well and he is learning to sense the slight increase in tension that happens when this thing kicks in. I've coupled that with a verbal signal telling him he's at the end of his leash. Overall he's learning and I am feeling good about the overall effect.Before getting this, I tried a heavy duty double bungee cord kind of attachment, much shorter and much stiffer, and it didn't really work.I should add that this extender is quite light, which I think is important. Other devices are heavy with huge heavy clips and the leash is weighted down. This one doesn't have this problem.It doesn't solve the problem the way a side-pull harness does, but it's the best solution yet for a harness-aversive dog.And it definitely can be chewed through, at least partway (so far; hasn't come apart). So we recently added one of the steel cable extensions which has made a big difference. But this extension plus the steel cable extension seem kind of heavy to me, but the dog doesn't seem to care at all.I am however concerned about others' reports of it losing elasticity.

Great leash, would order more if variety of sizes were available, but this one was exactly what I needed for my particular use.

This is a nice added extension for your main leash. If your dog is a chewer this protects the main leash. It is thick and heavyduty and sometimes we use just this instead of the longer leash.
