BreadBoard-830 is a solderless (plug-in) breadboard with 830 connection tie-points (i.e. 830 wire insertion holes). It has 4 power rails. Solderless breadboards are great for building and testing new circuits because parts can be easily inserted and removed. They are completely re-usable. The BB830 has a 630 tie-point IC-circuit area plus four 50 tie-point power rails. The housing is made of white ABS plastic, with a printed legend giving numbers and letters for columns and rows. The internal contacts are phosphor bronze with a plated nickel finish. A peelable adhesive tape backing is provided for attaching it to a surface and an optional metal back plate is provided. BPS BreadBoards are Lead-Free and RoHS Compliant. Finished projects can be moved to a SB830 Solderable PC BreadBoard to make them permanent. ZipWire provides a convenient way to connect the signals in your projects. The wires can be unzipped for individual wires as needed. The color-coding can be used to organize power, ground and other signal types to keep your circuit organized. The rainbow colored ribbon cable provides the 10 standard electrical colors. Each ZipWire ribbon provides 40 wires, four of each color. The 28AWG ribbon cable wires can be unzipped to remove individual wires. Wires can be unzipped in groups to organize signals, or as individual wires. When connecting to a group of signals (such as UART or SPI signals), a group of attached ZipWires can be used to keep the signals together to better manage your wiring. These male-male wires are in 10cm lengths, suited for shorter connections. They work great for signals within a solderless breadboard (such as the BB400 and BB830). ZipWires have 0.1” pitch. Male pins can be used with solderless breadboards or 0.1” pitch sockets.

There are cheap quality boards out there. Component connection don't stay tight. You may lose connection in the middle of circuit testing. This is top quality board . No problem with wires that don't stay.

Just buy the breadboards by themselves and purchase the molded jumper wires from Z&T found elsewhere here. I love the BusBoard breadboards and can't say enough positive things about it. But then they ruin it by including poor quality "crimped" jumper wires and at an inflated price to boot. I can crimp my own wire, the whole reason I purchase pre-made is to hopefully get a better quality product. That was not the case here. In fact, based on the cost of the BB830 by itself, I figure that you're paying an additional 3 dollars for the jumper wires which makes them about 10% more expensive than the Z&T 130 pack which are molded pins and far better than these crimped garbage.

This is a high quality breadboard. They aren't all the same.

Good, quality board. ZipWires are a little loose, but I really haven't found jumpers of this type that aren't a little loose in a breadboard -- they work fine for desktop prototyping. If you need something more secure then you'll want to grab a spool of lower gauge wire and make some jumpers of your own.

I would give it 5 stars, but the ZipWires do not plug in to the breadboard very tight. Otherwise it's exactly as described.

I was really hoping to REALLY like these... but a couple of minor issues make it not the BEST 5* product.1. There's double sided foam tape on the bottom. Partly to stick this down to a surface permanently, and partly to hold the metal strips in place.2. You can't just separate the power rails from the rest of it. YES, they do come off, but you need to cut the aforementioned double sided foam tape along the seams in order to separate the power rails. this is easy enough on the straight runs, but a bit fiddly around the dovetail connections. The zipWires are a bit on the short side, which is OK. They do come all stuck together (like ribbon cable). They're not very high quality, but they get the job doneOverall, a great value for the price.

It's a breadboard. They are not all the same. The connections are high quality and they include pin jumpers that are very handy for fast board set up as opposed to stripping wires while you think 5 connections ahead while stripping 10 or more jumper wires. Fast shipping and a well known brand.

Pretty simple to the point breadboard, works well with my Arduino and Teensy 3.2 boards.
