To say I LOVE this desk set is an understatement! I couldn’t be anymore pleased. The furniture is very heavy duty and sturdy. I have a check printer and check folding machine that sits on the cabinet with no problem. They’re at least a good 100lbs or so together. I actually enjoy going upstairs for work now. And the space is perfect! There are plenty of storage places for all of my work stuff. Best desk buy ever!

I bought this 4 years ago. I get that it is pressed wood. It looks great after it is built, but it wont last. The plastic edging on the edges starts splitting off revealing the pressed wood underneath. The hutch starts to bow in the center and is utterly incapable of holding, well.... anything. The drawer slides are a plus, I suppose, and the fluted glass looks nice. If you are buying this to have a desk that will last you any more than 5 years, bite the bullet and buy one with solid veneer. Yes, you can expect to spend 3 times (or more) as much for a solid veneer desk, hutch and filing cabinet, but in my opinion, it is worth it, considering it will last a life time. Over a 10 year period you'd just have to buy this three times anyway if you wanted something that would look presentable over such a period of time. Considering I purchased a Martin Furniture Hartford L Shaped Desk with Hutch, and a Hartford lateral filing cabinet for just over $2k, I am comfortable knowing I will never have to replace that set.To be fair, the filing Cabot cabinet is still in decent shape (minus some scratches), as are the desk drawers. Its that any surfaces that are exposed to physical contact will degrade obscenely quickly that is an issue. It is a common issue with pressed wood furniture that uses the seemingly ubiquitous cam lock style assembly (similar to IKEA). If you are fine with all that, great. I just wish I had done more research before dropping $800 bucks on this set, when other sets of identical quality can be found for far cheaper. Again, nothing against Bush, but they literally sell this for a mid tier price, despite it being of entry level quality. You aren't going to find solid wood desks - they are far too prone to warping, and most desks have some type of engineered wood as a core. Just stay away from pressed wood furniture if you are after long lasting quality and finish.

I spent hours and hours looking for office furniture that looked good, would be hopefully durable, easy to assemble, and fit my space requirements. Unfortunately, some of these are hard to determine without having hands on - something that just isn't an option for these bigger items. In any case, I bought this with a matching set that included this, a file cabinet, a smaller box type shelf, and a full L shaped desk with hutch. This fit in perfectly with the set and looked great once assembled. Overall, the product was fairly easy to assemble and came well packed. The wood is a standard particle board for most pieces. All you need for assembly on all of these different furniture pieces is a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I would recommend also having a partner to help assemble as some of the pieces can be a bit big. This desk set was fairly easy to assemble, but took a good amount of time (several hours) because of the sheet size. It went faster with a good drill set on a very low torque setting. After I got it all assembled, and everything on the desk (computer, toys, etc), I had to make a couple adjustments on the drawers and doors because the desk shifted a little bit. You'll want to have an extra person help to move it around as well, since it is very heavy once assembled.Overall, the quality is better than the light IKEA type of furniture, but less than a high quality solid wood build. I would recommend it and haven't had any problems with it after using it day in and out for several months.

Great desk and hutch. This fits our room perfectly. We are very happy with the quality. Also, the desk is very functional with appropriate spots for cords and a charging station. We had an issue with the lateral file but the company took care of it immediately without any hassle.

Assembly of this did not go smoothly. Instructions were vague. And in some cases hard to figure out. Pre-drilled holes did not match up and in dome cases, caused damage to veneer on finished side. Had to use wood glue to fix. The quality of the actual furniture was not bad for price. And it looks good in my office. Just disappointed in the assembly aspect of the unit.

This desk, hutch and file cabinet took us two days to assemble with two people. The directions were easy to follow and everything fit together as stated. The result is a Great desk that is functional and looks good. We would highly recommend this product.
