This fuse holder contained the 1/4" diameter glass-encased fuse element that supplied the 12vdc power to the engine controller on my diesel powered whole-house generator. Due to moisture that created internal contact corrosion, and vibration from the diesel engine, very minute interruptions of the power was resetting the controller, causing the generator to stop and then restart. Intermittent problems are the worse to find! Especially when the transition is so brief. Once I nailed it, a new holder fixed it, restoring original performance. Could be a design error, but now I know where I'll look first in the future. All good for now!
