The paddle light and it gives the best spin. It is ten years old and is just beginning to deteriorate, and that is with CONSTANT play. As in 1 or 2 times a week. Won a tournament with it. Awesome paddle. Would HIGHLY recommend!

This racket has been a great tool to upgrade from the ones that come with your table. The yuki rubber is really grippy and really good for learning to add spin to rally shots and learn effective serves. I’ve been playing for 6 months, and I’m going to eventually upgrade rackets again before I start playing tournaments and leagues but this one has been great for learning. Definitely recommend for beginner players that decide they want to start thinking about upping their game.

We purchased the set to use for enjoyment, so we are not able to comment on how the item is compared to other sets. The set is sturdy, nice weight, and works well for our purpose. The paddles are comfortable to hold. We would recommend for home use.

I only play a couple times a month, so by no means an expert. However for the last year that I've owned this racket, it's still in pristine condition - I just zip it back into the case it comes with and toss it in my work bag. Definitely feels stickier and has more spin than the stock rackets. Would recommend for beginners+.

Delivery was quick. But product seems sub standard. Firstly I was delivered an old October 2015 packed racket which was not expected. Secondly, performance of the bat is poor. There is no spin and it is also on the slower side. Not something you would expect from a reasonably priced product. Not sure if for is the problem of the seller or the bat itself. But not worth it.

I've played with many recreational paddles priced from 20-80 and these paddles perform as well as most of them. For such an affordable price I would recommend anyone who is interested in picking up table tennis to pick one up. Although they are a bit heavy and lack some control, the spin on the paddle is phenomenal. Definitely a step up from entry line paddles and adds a lot of depth, this paddle is really helping me harness my control and learn how to better utilize spin.

I'm a beginner and really don't know a great racket. But, this feels much better than the cheapees that come with the cheap balls. I got some Stiga 3 star balls (which make much more of a difference in a table tennis match). I actually can do most of the same things with the cheap rackets as I can with this racket. The big difference is the amount of effort needed with this racket. It definitely has a more sticky rubber which puts on much more spin. It's taking some time for me to get used this racket, but I really like it. Haven't gotten totally used to it (over hitting alot). I definitely feel the quality, I just need to take advantage of the quality in my game. This is independent from the fact that the racket is pretty nice. The case is helpful with limiting some of the dust.Update: I like this racket alot, but maybe will get a lighter one. A carbon perhaps.

Disclaimer: I am a beginner at table tennis/ping pong.I have found that this paddle is probably decent for my skill level. I have only used some really old paddles that have lost their grip, and have been able to distinguish the amount of difference it makes for a fresh grip as this paddle generates a lot more spin than the old paddles I was learning with. It's comfortable to use for hours (I have small hands) too. If you're looking for a cheap table tennis paddle for a complete beginner, this should more than suffice. The paddle case that comes with this is a nice bonus for keeping your surface untouched while in storage, waiting for your next play.

Before ordering this item I asked my girlfriend in Taiwan to review it for me. Instantly she recognized the Butterfly brand, and has one herself. The brand and logo itself is huge in Taiwan obviously and one of quality and respect amongst all ping pong players. I am honestly new to the game, but she taught me quite a bit when she was in America and I was in my "30-day stay" of Taiwan itself.This paddle is remarkable. Like I said, I am new to the sport and had a impulse to buy a paddle of some value. I instantly recognized a difference in my playing style and overall control of the ball and game playing in general. The speed, control, and power really do enhance with this paddle, as long as you do not have a "better" one of course. Before purchasing, Chany (Liao Yu Ching), told me this was a good price for the piece itself. About the same in Taiwan. I figured this would be a great welcome into the sport and nice way to up my craving and skill in the game. I was right. Many more hours and months worth of great playing will come from this paddle. I will be moving to Taiwan for 18 months soon to reunite and study Mandarin so this buy was inevitable and there was no mistake made.The adhesive is great, the case is perfect, the wood is finely crafted and engraved/branded with a seal (bottom and side of handle), the color is bright and vibrant, the weight is good, and the box that was shipped with the product is a nice thing to look at and have.I may be new, Chany and I knew this was a great buy.Highly recommended for new players (like myself) to novice players.

I recently (re)started playing table tennis after long hiatus, and straightaway searched for butterfly rackets, since this is what we used when I was young. This particular one is well balanced for speed and spin, although it's neither the quickest nor the spinny-est, compared to some other higher quality (and price!) rackets I've used in the past. But as I said, it's well balanced, providing fairly high amount of speed, spin and control. Definitely glad it comes with the cover, since the sticky surfaces attract dust, reducing their spin.This is not the best racket you can buy, but as a first or basic table tennis racket, it is 5* & highly recommended.
