B+W 77mm MASTER High Transmission MRC Kaesemann Circular Polarizer Filter, with a rotating mount to control the polarization effect. The Circular Polarizer will work with all auto-focus lenses, and reduces reflections from a non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and glossy paint and increases color saturation and contrast. Objects behind shop windows or car windshields can become visible again. The multiplying factor with the HTC Filter is 2 to 3, which is equivalent to 1 to 1.5 f-stops, compared to other polarizers up to 3 stops, giving you better light transmission.

NO FRICTION when trying to set the adjustment ring. This introduces a risk that makes shooting problematic. At this price there are brands with better QC. Otherwise excellent.

Im Vergleich zu meinen anderen B+W-Polfiltern, die ich seid über 10 Jahren verwende, fällt hier auf:- der Filter ist viel flacher aufgebaut- er ist schön leichtgängig in beide Richtungen zu drehenUnd klar, ab der optischen Qualität gibt es nichts zu bemängeln.

Filtro fotografico polarizzatore di altissima qualità sia sotto il profilo ottico, sia sotto il profilo costruttivo. Quest'ultimo aspetto lo si apprezza già montando il filtro sull'ottica, che avviene senza alcuna difficolta, in modo scorrevole e permette la percezione del corretto serraggio: quello che consente di ruotare il filtro senza pericolo che si distacchi accidentalmente, ma contemporaneamente, senza che rischi di rimanere bloccato sull'obiettivo. Le due ghiere scorrono in modo fluido e danno una impressione di solidità.Sotto il profilo ottico apprezzabile l'assenza di qualsiasi dominante di colore indotta: il bilanciamento del bianco misurato è identico, con e senza polarizzatore. Parimenti è assai contenuta la perdita di luminosità, che corrisponde a quanto dichiarato dal produttore: 1-1,5 stop, quindi utilizzabile anche in ambienti scarsamente illuminati. Efficacissima la rimozione di riflessi e foschia, con piacevole saturazione dei colori.Montato su uno zoom Nikkor Z S 24-120 f4, non sembra accentuare la vignettatura (minima) caratteristica di quest'ottica a tutta apertura. Non apprezzabile alcuna perdita di nitidezza o di dettaglio.Veramente efficace il nanocoating, che permette la pulizia del filtro senza strofinamenti insistenti e traumatici.Il prodotto è pervenuto (nel suo imballaggio originale sigillato, racchiuso nel secondo imballaggio Amazon) con una custodia protettiva in pelle che definirei "lussuosa", agevolmente trasportabile in qualsiasi borsa fotografica (ma anche in tasca) senza rischi di danneggiare le superfici dei bellissimi vetri ottici.Non è un prodotto economico, ma laddove si usino ottiche di qualità, penso che la qualità ne giustifichi il costo di acquisto.

I have always used B+W filters for many years on my Canon full-frame DSLRs. Needed to replace my 8+ year old B+W CP since the outer ring would no longer rotate. Bought the thin style B+W 77 mm CP. Not surprisingly it worked as advertised for fall foliage colors and with all of my Canon lens focal lengths. There is no discernable vignette on my wide angle lens. Filter was packaged in a nice pouch which was, in turn, packaged in a sturdy B+W filter box. To foil counterfeiting, inside the B+W box is a unique QR code. Scan the QR code then enter the unique B+W provided alphanumeric code, the filter type, filter diameter and B+W instantly verifies authenticity.

I liked this polarizer vey much becuae it dis not turn skies an unrealistic dark ble but did minimize glare. However, when I dug it out to use recently it had several white dots of mold between the two glasses.

I've shot 300+ images with this polarizer in the first few days of owning it and I love it. I spent four hours leaning out of the open window of an airplane shooting landscape images. 100 mph wind speed and the polarizer stayed in place without rotating, unscrewing, or causing flex distortion in the images. Not a single dirt particle or water droplet problem. It's expensive and worth it. I didn't want to spend $210 for a polarizer but I'm glad that I did. For those landscape images I was shooting a Canon 5Dmk4 with a Sigma Art 24mm f1.4 lens and this polarizer.
