Known for its loyal nature, the native Xolo is a cultural symbol of Mexico City. Our rubberized key accessory includes unique floral details on the dog's black body, in pink, teal green, yellow, and orange. This Chilaqui Xolo keychain was designed in Mexico. Mexican culture considered the Xolo the companion of the dead of the underworld (Mictlán), and the dog's image represented life and death, and currently the playful animal is considered a cultural heritage and a symbol of Mexico City. Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo raised them as pets, and also turned them into animals of worship, as well as inspiration for their artwork. I have a xolo and happened across this little key chain and had to have it! It's so freaking adorable! I'm going to order two more for friends of mine as gifts because they have xolo's and will love this too. I highly recommend!!!
