I needed to cutout a bunch of paper and cardboard templates by hand and scissors and box cutters just didn't have the accuracy that I needed.They're inexpensive, sturdy and sharp.They made cutting out my templates quick and easy.The shape of the tip of the blade was great for getting into the tight areas I needed to cutIf you have a hobby or craft project and need an inexpensive tool for cutting, these work really great.

To start off with, I'm not a doctor or otherwise a medical professional. So my knowledge of scalpel quality is somewhat limited. To my way of thinking, if it fits some basic requirements, it's pretty much five stars.1) Does the packaging convince me these are indeed sterile? Yes, it does. Theses scalpels arrived without damage and each one is vacuum sealed in foil. Furthermore, they each note sterilization with gamma radiation.2) Did I get what I ordered? Yes, the product page indicated a 10-pack, and that's just what I got3) Are they sharp? Yes, very. My only reference for comparison is an x-acto knife. These are about the same.4) Do they feel fragile? Do I get the impression they'll hold up to normal use? For the most part. The handles are relatively thin plastic. Picture a heavy-duty plastic disposable knife and that's about what the handle is like. Should work just fine. Great cutting edge especially with the head design (look closer at sales photo to see). Each one comes individually vacuum sealed with a plastic safety guard over the blade. Only problem I can see is that the blade doesn't seem so be attached to the handle securely. No incidents have arisen from this but it could be a danger should too much pressure be applied. Handle is sturdy though. Good purchase for cutting stuff. Also don't self harm please. 18002738255

Haven't used these and hope I never need to. They're for an emergency medical kit - one for my sailboat, another for my camping kit. They're well packaged, sterile and look like they'll do the job should I ever need them to. I found them, or something like them, during EMT training years ago, so I know they'll do the basic cutting I'd need to do if I had to. Beats a pocket knife or box cutter for sure. These are the real deal.

Very sharp, I like the shape of the blade, and the handle is good enough for use from a disposable. Very good for a variety of uses. I don't recommend home surgery for anyone, but I use these to trim corns on my feet and feel that the sharp blades which may or may not be sterile but are at least very clean do the job safely. The blades don't stay keenly sharp for all that long but certainly long enough for small jobs.

I was hoping that these would be just as good as the exacto knifes you get with model kits. Those things could cut through anything. These would cut skin pretty easily, but the edge isn't sharp enough to cut through anything harder, on the first pass.
