If you have a hard-wired DSL connection through CenturyLink (not fiber optic), this one is for you. The setup was seamless and if you are replacing an existing modem the connection smooth. Simply go to the numbered site listed in the bottom of the unit and register the new modem. You can even choose to edit the wifi credentials to mimic your existing settings so there is no need to change the name and passwords of all your devices. I am extremely satisfied. And, I purchased a "refurbished" unit. Not a thing wrong with it and saved $70.00.

Works better than the C3000A modem it replaced. Pretty easy to setup and connect to my network. The 2.5G band is a bit flaky but the other two bands are more stable and stronger than the old modem. Looks nice on the shelf in my office. Instructions not included!

This brand is notorious for shorting out during a lightning storm. So when overnight storms are predicted I disconnect the phone cable. It seems like they could install a surge protector at the factory. But, when it works, it works well. Hopefully this one lasts for awhile.
