I bought these for my 10 year old who likes to go hang out in the woods and help with yard work. I mainly got them because his mom was constantly complaining about what shoes he was wearing outside. "Those are school shoes" and "those shoes are still too nice to..." I was tired of keeping up with what shoes are for what. These shoes were very affordable, fit well and have held up well so far. It is nice that he can wear them for whatever and still look decent.

Ordered a size 2.5 which should have been great for my son that wears a size 2 but they were tight. Also note that they are not actually size 2.5 but European size 33. Very nice quality so bummed that we won’t be able to get new ones before our hike.

These appear to be very well made hiking shoes. My 8 year old grandson says they’re comfortable and they’re easy for him to put on and off. They’re a little bit heavier than any other shoes he has had, but that’s probably because of the thicker tread. If these hold up through the summer, he can wear these to school on rainy days since they seem to be waterproof and not so beefy to use just for hiking. Just order up at least one size. We bought a Big Kid 4 but they were the same size as his 3.5 sneakers and he was outgrowing those so we returned the 4 for a 4.5. EDITAfter 2 months, they started to peel and pretty much disintegrated and eventually developed holes! I removed the shoestrings that were still good and used them in another pair.

My son is wearing these shoes to school for about a week now. He likes them a lot! The quality exceeds my expectations! They fit him perfectly. The size is right, and the style is pretty good. I really like the bungee closure type design. It eliminates the hassle of tying shoelaces. I am going to buy another pair and try a different color. Also, the price is very reasonable. They should be worth at least $50 given their quality.
