Finally got this item after Xmas, just arrived and we just opened it and it’s disappointing. It looks like it’s been cleaned with some kind of bleach product, completely discoloured. Everything has a white washed coloration. There are also two small pinholes, one in the top floor, one on the bottom floor.

This lodge set was the perfect tie in with the rest of the pieces I got for my toddler; she’s young (3) but loves playing with Calico Critters and has done really well at taking care of them. She already has the camper, and treehouse pieces so this was a must get. Like the rest of the pieces in this set the lodge is well built. All the decorations are clean looking, the edges all smooth, and build quality fits for the price. It’s a substantial size overall compared to the other parts of the set and that’s great. Now she can send her critters on vacation, let the little ones play in the treehouse and the adults all stay in the lodge. Then when vacation is over she packs them all back into the camper and off they go home. I know I opened myself into a world of hurt with all the parts I’m going to have to buy but they make her happy, she’s storytelling, using her imagination, playing, and right now especially anything that can make time indoors better then I’m all for it.

This little lodge is so cute. It is not made cheap at all. Very sturdy and sets up quickly. The only thing to do is put the green roof on and it's good to go. There are tons of features with this. Comes with a little critter and furniture as well. So nice for a little one.
