It’s great. Super quiet. Handles my auto repair / tire shop just fine and now I don’t have as big a headache every day.

First thing, it arrived 2 days early. Although it is too soon to see how well it lasts I am totally amazed with the quality and workmanship in this compressor. The welds are perfect, the motors all are tight, there were no air leaks from the moment I fired it up. Stainless steel braided lines, complete with regulator and auto water drain. All I had to do was screw on the air filters and plug it in. When they opened up the truck I was shocked to see the compressor laying down! You cannot lay down an oil based compressor but this is OILLESS. the driver explained that with the oilless ones there company would rather lay it down properly rather than have it fall over. Again, someone taking an extra step and having pride in what they are doing. . And it really is quiet. Quieter that my little pancake style compressor. As I said, it is too early to tell how long it will last but my first impression is that it will last a long time for what I have in mind with it. Would definitely recommend 100% and would definitely buy again. Great product. And customer service was right on top of things when I sent a few emails with questions. They got back to me in about an hour or two. Happy customer, very happy.

I had a Craftsman oilless for 29 years that threw a rod. That thing was so loud I had to wear ear protection. I was skeptical about the noise level this was advertised at. I need a decent sized compressor for my shop and looking around at more conventional compressors in this price range. What it came down to was getting a compressor this size to my garage. These things are all top heavy and I didn't want to have to go to a dock and have to have it loaded onto my truck then figure how to get it off the truck and into my shop. Amazon saved the day, free shipping to the house for the exact same price I would have paid straight from California Air! Two guys in a box truck and lift gate brought it here and put it into the shop. This thing has the auto drain on a timer, dual compressors on the top. They can run at a lower RPM than the old style thus keeping the noise down. Another great fact is the power required to run it. A 20Amp double pole breaker does the trick. Many compressors this size require a larger motor to turn the multiple stage compressors, upwards of 40-50 amps on some. Check the power requirements before you purchase! The noise levels in the pictures, 79dB is 1 foot from the top of the copmpressor and the 72dB from 12 feet away. The last is how it is shipped, on a full size pallet with a cardboard box over it. Plenty of room to keep a dock worker from spearing the tank with a truck fork. Arrived safe and sound.

This thing runs and you don't know it's running until the moisture purge turns on. I used this on my first project which was a spray bedliner for my truck. I needed to add a pressure regulator just before the nozzle and it is 100% professional quality and keeps up with no issues. Very very heavy and awkward to move so I would advise getting a buddy or two to help you move it, even if you have a cart or pallet jack.

2 days ago we received the 60 gallon compressor. One user wrote that it does not provide enough air. I thought that he was kidding but it turns out that he was not. My machine requires a constant 94 lbs of pressure to keep it functioning. In the middle of a very important grind, the machine stopped due to lack of air. This nearly gave me a heart attack. I quickly went to Home Depot to buy more parts and was able to hook up my small 12 gallon compressor that I bought on Amazon. That unit kicks on up to 150 lbs and turns back on at 125 lbs. Without that smaller unit, we would be returning the larger 60 gallon unit. The California unit without the smaller 12 gallon unit would be nearly worthless. The other thing was that the 60 gallon unit is not quiet as advertised. Very noisy.

There is a lot to love about this compressor. Firstly and most importantly: yes, it's quiet. Like the quietest compressor I've ever been around. You can see by my photo that I have it close to a wall and you can carry on a conversation with it on. You can hear your phone ring and even hear the radio while it's on. Second, the low power draw. This compressor only requires a 15a circuit which is half of what a big box store compressor would require. Third, it comes with an auto drain system that keeps condensation out of the tank by draining off a little during start up (which is, for a few seconds, louder than you'd expect) and it comes with a very nice pressure adjust valve with water separator. I've been working in a shop environment since I was old enough to hold an acid brush against tooling while my dad made parts on the lathe and how I wish we had something like this 40 years ago. I cannot recommend this air compressor enough.
