This is a great little bell for teaching your small dog to ask to go outside. We had some bells hanging from our door for our border collie, but when we got our dachshund we realized that she just doesn't pay attention to them. So we bought this.To train a dog to ring a bell to go outside:1. Put the bell right by the door.2. Ring it and give them a treat. Do it over and over for about 5 minutes. This is to get them used to the sound and give it a positive association.3. Ring the bell right before you take the dogs out, every time. Just one ding is enough, unless you plan to teach them to drive you crazy.4. That's it. It took about a week before our dachshund rang the bell on her own the first time. When that happens...praise, praise, praise. :)

I bought this bell for the restaurant I work for. As a chef, our only means of communication with the servers, that their food was ready for delivery was yelling their names across the dining room. That was not the ideal situation seeing as it could disrupt the customers' experience at the restaurant. So after much deliberation with management I got permission to purchase a bell. When I first browsed my options on Amazon, I was faced with quite a few products. Most offers were for multiple bells in order to get a decent price per bell. This distributor was the best option for me because I couldn't argue with the price and I could buy a single bell.I love the tone of the bell. It can easily be heard in the mist of Sunday brunch while everyone is talking in the dining room. The base of the bell is wide enough that it remains stable on the counter and stays put when ringing it. The stainless steel is great for cleaning at the end of the night if it gets dirty. The bell is very well constructed and has kept up with consistent use everyday for the past 3 months.I have nothing negative to say bout this product and would recommend it to any office, restaurant of business. It has improved the flow of business at my work place and I am sure it could do the same for you.

It arrived a day or two late, but the bell was exactly what I expected.I needed 6 bells for a game my friends and I were planning for my friends Bachelorette Party. (I thought I'd toss that in there incase you were wondering why on earth a person would buy so many bells! LOL)The bell was not cheaply made, or anything like that. So if you need a bell, this is the bell I'd definitely recommend for you!I have nothing negative to say about the bell, BUT the same cannot be said about the company that shipped it to me.I contacted them twice before purchasing it, but sadly they didn't bother to reply back to me. So since I really needed these bells, I took a risk and ordered them without contacting the seller first. I usually like to contact the seller beforehand to get a more accurate price on the shipping cost, as well as maybe buy a couple of more items from them (if they have an online store) to really get the most out of the price of shipping. For example some places offer free shipping if you spend over $30, $50, etc... I'd say 95% of the time the shippers I speak with are lovely and exceptionally helpful. But even after I'd placed the order (I chose the cheapest shipping option available and I still ended up paying more for shipping, than the total for the 6 bells ended up costing) they wouldn't respond to my emails - and they had no website/phone number available that I could find. They arrived in this itty-bitty tiny box, that there's no possible way cost the amount they charged me to ship. The box wasn't a strange size, and wasn't heavy at all. It actually weighed less than a 355ml can of Coca-Cola.So if you're looking to buy a bell, I wouldn't recommend THIS seller. However this bell is pretty darn good!I received them about 9 days before the party, and they worked out marvellously. We all ended up signing one of the bells and giving it to the bride as a funny and random keepsake. Then a few other girls took one of them home with them. Who doesn't need a random bell right? LOL!I attached a photo I took just now of the one bell I have remaining (I made sure to keep one for myself) the top and bottom view of it.I hope my little random review helps out anyone else who's curious about purchasing a bell. I think we all could use a little more Ring-a-Ding-Ding in our life!

I never thought teaching a dog to ring a bell would be so challenging! This is a great prop for a ton of things, rings well if you want to use it for it's standard purpose, and has held up to being thrown around over and over.

Looks good and makes a nice clear tone. A little lighter than I thought it would be but it appears to be of all metal construction. Our's was purchased to place on the receptionist desk for visitors to alert the office when the receptionist was away from her desk. So far it has worked exactly as we hoped. Under normal conditions it appears like it will last a lifetime.

Prompt delivery, good price, well-made. Originally purchased for training our older kitties to ring the bell for treats. They have a few tricks they currently do, I was hoping that this could be an addition. However, it was hard for them to press the small top knob without it passing through the claw area of their paws (may work better for dogs bec of larger paw area?). The bell did find a new home with our 10-year-old niece who took it home for her "office play."

My Beagle has learned to ring this very nicely. We placed this on the floor by the back door so she could alert us as to when she really needed to go out as opposed to wanting to sit there and watch the wild life. She actually has learned to tap it with her paw and created a perfect "ding". Initially she tried to drag it and tipped it over. Then she would step on it and her paw against the bell would dampen the ring out. But now you can hear it throughout the house and she hits it once, loudly, and then looks for you to respond. Unfortunately, she must have found out why these are really sold because she rings it as if to say "service please". This happens when it is time for dinner and she wants to be fed. This happens randomly when she feels like a treat. So we have had to explain to her that we are not the hired staff.

The bell works great. Strong design, loud tone. My only complaint is that I though every time I pressed it my wife would deliver me an ice cold beverage, but instead she just yells at me and tells me where I can put this bell. So I'm not sure if the pitch of sound is correct or I bought the wrong one, but I have yet to get that drink.

I have been told that I am a kid-at-heart. When I saw this bell on Amazon I just had to have it. This bell reminded me of when I was a kid and would go into shops with my mom or my grandparents and we would have to ring the bell in order to get someone's attention. Now, I ring the bell to get my kids attention, OR, just to have a little fun. Works perfectly.

This is a great bell and all. The tone took a bit of getting used to because at my job, we have a bell that has a higher pitch, but I just had to get a bell for myself to call for assistance. It was great till it broke. I think it was a little bit of my fault, but it was odd the way it broke. It was still in place and everything and didn't fall apart, but after a while, once you rang it, it just didn't ring and made a clanking sound. I had to buy a new one. I suggest for whoever gets this bell, try to handle it with extreme care.
