I’ve been using the same torch for the last 40 years - struggling to get stuff hot enough for the last 20. Who would have thought the torch would ever go bad. I thought I had a bad propane tank. This new torch is incredible! It’s got some serious heft to it (solid metal), built in igniter, a smooth volume control, correctly angled arm and gets as hot as I’ll ever need ! All at a great price.

This is one of my favorite camping companions. It uses the same fuel as my camp stove and makes building a fire super easy. The controls on this work well and allow me to adjust the size of the flame.

Terrible! If u plan on trying to solder anything, or really anything where heat control is important, do not touch this thing. By far the worst torch head I've ever used. Flame is all over the place. Starts spitting .. definitely not made for map gaas. You have to turn the valve all the way open to light it, then after it's lit the flame just adjust s it self from way to high to shutting off . No tip to the flame , it's like a blow torch .. don't buy this cheap piece of junk

The flame is on the larger side. I bought this to solder in a new rough in valve in a single piece fiberlass shower we re-finished. This torch puts out the heat and I'm sure it has many useful applications. The freedom to hold the torch tank free is very useful, however I think I would have been better off with a torch that puts out a more compact flame for my needs. Nonetheless the product worked perfectly and certainly not their fault I'm a copper soldering novice.

To start with, this works. It will light with the built in ignitor and it will burn REALLY hot. It also has decent control down to lower flame levels if needed for your particular application. The valve needs 3-4 full turns to get to full power - I would think 1-2 would be much more appropriate. The torch will light at full or nearly full power, after 1-4 clicks of the ignitor. It wouldn't start (for me) at lower settings. I like torches that start on the first spark, and prefer to start torches on low - medium flow, and then turn it up to where I want. That's me.The plastic housing made a 'cracking' sound when I was screwing it on for the first time and got tight. It was spinning onto the threads free and easy and then came to an abrupt stop. It didn't seem to impact function (that I could tell), but I'll definitely be careful when I'm using it next time. It's a decent torch and I like it better than some others I've tried. Plus it's set up for MAPP gas. Unfortunately, it left me wanting more. I'd consider this a 3.49 star and I wavered on a three or four star rating.Item Reviewed:CAMPINGMOON MAPP Propane Torch Head CGA600 Interface MAP Gas Welding Torch Head Flame Adajustable Self Ignition MT-5200CAMPINGMOON MAPP Propane Torch Head CGA600 Interface MAP Gas Welding Torch Head Flame Adajustable Self Ignition MT-5200
