Got this camshaft adjuster magnet after having intermittent camshaft codes. It seemed to have fix the problem but the car still had symptoms. Myself and my mechanic chased the issue costing me thousands in labor and diagnostics, fixing electrical wiring and connectors. Turned out this camshaft adjuster magnet was intermittently failing due to poor manufacturing. The pin would get stuck as the magnet alternates polarity. We thought a new part would be a working part. We assumed wrong and only went back after hours of troubleshooting. Lesson learned to buy OEM parts on these complex German autos. Saves time, energy and money and in the end you have peace of mind on a reliable part.
