I can't recommend this self centering drill set. Steel drill bit vs aluminum guide, not a good choice of material. Looks good, in my opinion the tolerance of the parts are sloppy.

Not exactly what I was looking for but they work ok. Set screws slip some. Need to pay attention to where you set it. There are better sets out there but these do the job ok.

I carve spoons from local hardwood and as I’ve gotten older hollowing out the spoon bowl has gotten more difficult so I rough out the bowls with power tools and finish them by hand. These cutting heads work well for the next to last power cuts.

I like the colors; that will make it easier to dig out the right bit when I need one. I am not a big fan of the centering function though. The chamfer at the business end of these bits is very small, limiting the countersink hole sizes that these can be used with. It would not take much to be off center using these bits using a hand drill. Probably better in a drill press, but the one I just used for a very small screw/hinge combo was iffy.

This will do the job, but need to check them first. I decided to test each bit on a piece of scrap wood. What I noticed is that not all the sleeves slide smoothly. Next thing was to unscrew each of them to check why. First, not all of them were easy to unscrew, not because they were too tight, but something was in the groves. What I found were springs that look old or were too long. on the 7/64" bit, the wire gasket came loose which is why it was not sliding properly. I managed to fix it, but the ring can easily be lost if not careful. The 1/4" was particularly bad as the barrel was stuck in the sleeve. It took some WD40 and a mallet to get it out and fix. In this case, the spring was over the barrel so was stuck in the sleeve.Once cleaned and bits worked better. These will do for occasional DIY use, but I can see the springs needing replacing. Maybe I received a poor batch or this product did not move or it is just poor quality in general. They were made in China. I would not buy these if I needed to use them all the time.

I got these for my husband and myself so I had to get the fun color's even though my husband is color blind. I wanted colors for me. I find that they are very easy to use myself and my husband is excited to get to do some more projects with them now too.

Great product for hobbyist or the basic to-do list. Burring tools are great for fine and detail work with the variety for multiple angles and surfaces.

Comes with a case, good for details and good value for the cost.
