The lock works as expected but a hell of a price for a stainless file cabinet lock. However it seems that anything to do with marine has a big price.Saying that, it is good to know I have some protection against theft

Besides being a deterrent from being stolen; It also prevents downrigger from coming loose and falling off.

Theses over priced a touch but with Amazon it was cheaper than anywhere else. Locks work just like advertised. Tricky to put in but it doesn't take long. At least they give some peace of mind by having in.

These do the job. Be warned, they are keyed differently. I bought three and received three different key configurations. Now I feel a lot less likely to wake up for a day of fishing and find my $500 downriggers missing...

fit great, the downrigger should of come with them already installed, sucks they dont sell them in sets of two with the same key...just what I need more keys to keep track of.... price is way to high
