I previously tried a generic version of this battery. This battery lasts longer and charges more quickly. This appears to be a genuine OEM replacement as opposed to some of the look alike versions of this item that are much cheaper and ship directly from China.

Wanted an extra Canon made battery for my new and not cheap camera. I was nervous about getting the battery here because of stories about poor quality cheap batteries and counterfeits. This is the real Canon product. The gold hologram sticker is small and hard to see, but turned in the light it shows colorful squiggles and pops the word "genuine" all over. Worth the extra money for peace of mind.

I brought this as a spare battery. I rather have a genuine battery than a fake one. I have a 5 year old camera my dad gave me to borrow. Only 1 battery is a propper cannon one. The other two are cheap chinese copys.Never but these they don't last. I ended up buying my own camera. As the is no way I'm buying a new battery. For a 5 year camera that is not mine. I have saved loads of time on my filming as I don't wast a day on waiting for batterys to charge up then go flat 30 mins later.to some it seems over priced but work put how much time is saves over time you use it.

YES!!!! YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT LISTING! THIS IS FOR YOUR G7X MARK ii, And if you've already purchased the camera then you know the battery life is literally one hour for filming. If You are like me and create sit down/talking videos & Vlogs.I definitely would recommend you buy 3. so you can have 4 total (including the one that came with the camera. I would also recommend you get a second wall charger for the batter as well!ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRYING TO PUMP OUT CONTENT AND DONT WANT TO WAIT 2.5 - 3 HOURS FOR THE BATTERY TO CHARGE BACK UP!!!Dont get me wrong I STAN for canon , Especially my g7x it can litterally take a beating... Ive had it 3 years... HOWEVER!!!!!!Just be prepared to have to buy 3 more batteries......

So I bought from another listing on amazon , for this same battery but my mistake was not trusting the zero reviews and the fact that the price was half the price for $25 😞 I bought it anyways and it was horribly counter fit. (See occurred attached)So anyways I bought this battery to use for my G7x Mark ii and I used it for a day for about 3 hours total , taking 16 minute clips at a time (on purpose) to see if the battery would die fast cause my last battery would die after 20 minutes of use , and for the total Of 30 minutes of recording in one day , the battery was still 100% full! I’m impressed and now I can actually use my camera thanks to this new battery! Buy with confidence! Defiantly the same as the original one that came with the camera originally!

Would I buy the cheaper $19 battery or this $43 original OEM battery for my Canon G7X Mark II?The cheaper battery's price is so enticing (plus a lower sales tax) that it seemed to be the logical choice.But, would the $24 price difference give me some peace of mind? Or, an assurance that it will perform and last like the original?In the end, I went to buy the original replacement battery for my Canon G7X MKII camera.Had I purchased a cheaper camera, then, purchasing a cheaper battery would be an easy decision.The battery I received came in the sealed, original box (with hologram) and after opening, it came inside a plastic bag with a protective white plastic cover for the terminals and a folded manual/instruction sheet.Out of the box and using the external charger, it took about 2 hours to fully charge it.No errors, no warnings, no worries, no headaches - it simply worked as it should - just like the original that came with the camera.Now, I have peace of mind knowing that I have a reliable back-up battery for the camera during my travels.

Charged fast, easy to install and change out. Came with a plastic cover to protect the connections. Name brand as described, so good Canon quality and no worries of battery life or spotty performance. Saved my bacon taking it as a spare when traveling overseas as I could keep taking pictures while everyone’s else was hunting for outlets to charge theirs. Only complaint.....I lost it somewhere in Ireland!
