Impressed with pictures taken though this little monster. Especially when combined with the 2x extender.However, it is quite heavy. Probably twice as expensive and three times heavier than the camera it's mounted on.

I bought a refurbished lens from 6thAve. From the beginning, it gave me connection error messages. I cleaned the connection, still had problems. I thought it was my camera, which was older, so I researched, and then ordered a camera that was recommended for this lens. The pictures were better but I would take 4-10 photos and then get the same message. I would have to disconnect the lens, clean, reattach and then it would take a couple shots and then give me the error again. I acknowledge that all of this took time and I was pushing hard on the 90 day return policy. But I contacted 6th Ave via Amazon returns and they said they would accept my return. A few days later I got a message that I had been refunded but that 6th Ave kept FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS as a restocking fee. I understand paying a processing fee as I did cost them more time but A)They shouldn't be restocking an item that doesn't work. B) I was not told that there would be a fee that was 1/3rd the cost of the item! I would have kept it and paid to have it repaired! I called today and they just said "well, that's our policy." I am EXTREMEMLY angry and feel this was very dishonest business. They could have not accepted the return OR told me that they were going to charge me an exorbitant amount to accept it. Also, watch out as they now have a lens that doesn't work properly that they may be re-selling.
