The optical system, construction and exterior are the same as the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM. The difference is that it uses a DC motor instead of a USM to drive the AF. The EF 75-300mm is suitable for sports and other applications requiring fast AF. A DC motor is used to power the AF. This version shares the compact size, close focusing range, and accessory compatibility of the USM lens. For many advanced hobbyists, the 75-300 range is ideal as a versatile entry into telephoto photography.

This is a replacement for the same lens that malfunctioned after six years. Lens performs to expectation. Good value for the money. Shipment was fast without incident.

I had trouble with this lens on my Canon 6D Mark II. Seems to have had connection issues. Froze a number of times, and it gave wrong readings.

It has immaculate quality and in my opinion it competes with the sigma 100-600mm lens in quality.

Like title says. It’s a great beginner zoom lens that can zoom far and get decent shots. However, due to a lack of ULD lens or fluorite lens, that makes chromatic aberration a big problem for this lens. The Canon 75-400mm II lens has a single ULD lens and it costs ~600 USD, soooo for the price this lens is decent. The auto focus is accurate and snippy, but steady hands and perfect focus are REQUIRED.
