Great value for the bulk. Love to print pictures: nowadays every digital photo makes it an intangible one. Printing my pictures bring them back to life.

As this was an original Canon product there was very little chance anything could wrong and did not.The dye sub cassettes have "Made in Japan" on them which was a total surprise and gave me a different kind of assurance, especially as this is my first foray into Canon Selphy printers and media, though I do print in larger formats for my wedding photography work.I'm no sure where the paper is made but the prints look good although very thin when compared to old 35mm film prints but perhaps thats how it is now, the quality is still there. I do wish matt finish was available, whilst these are classed as glossy they're not super gloss but I'd say a little in between but I still prefer matt finishes.I would suggest having the box packed in Amazon packaging as mine was torn one size, as these retail boxes are not meant to be handled roughly and can easily open.Printing in this system is more expensive when compared to the general high street prints but you're entangled in the convenience of it and thats very useful with near to if not better looking prints, especially if you tweak settings so you have the possibility of more control IF you want too. Also the price for this 108 pack is great value when compared to other big named suppliers, it brings down the per print price considerably.I have mostly have printed via my calibrated laptop using ICC profiles but yield more accurate results with my 100% sRGB desktop monitor, so prints match what I see. As prints are inheritantly darker when compared to your "standard" white point screens normally around 6000-6500k and 120+ cd/m2, for printing its ideal to calibrate to around 5000-55000k and 80cd/m2. This will make your display darker but essentially match your prints. So if you now correct/brighten your images they will print as now seeen on screen.Using the app is easier but very very simplistic but really needs and overhaul. Yoiu wlll need third party apps if you want to edit, essentially the Canon app is just a print portal with some "fun" options. Also if editing on your phone, unless its a good quality screen or possible to calibrate theres not much accuracy you'll see but you can dim the brightness to around 50% then set brightness of the images in app and then print, this will requires a few tests though. Normally you can getr some number metrics of how bright the screen is, make a note and use that every time you want to edit and print from your phone but stay out of bright lights when doing so.

Received the Selphy printer for Christmas - I find the cost of prints to be very reasonable - near the same price as sending them to your local store to be printed. I love the convenience of printing from home - especially if I only need a few pictures. This product is amazing how the ink and paper seem to last the right amount of time - I am on my fourth box of paper and have not had the ink run out before the paper ran out. Occasionally I will have a photo print with a flaw but the percentage of prints with flaws are low.I used this to print Graduation Open House announcements - was great to print on demand when we needed a few extras. Love the convenience and the fact it is a wifi printer - no messy cords!!!

I own a Canon Selphy CP900 and use them with it. I love my little printer, yes i know i could probably get them in better quality or maybe even cheaper if i have a big name store or seller print them for me. But this is just so convenient. Instant print, no need to drive to the store, no need to wait for them in the mail. The paper feels like it is constructed to last, my only gripe with the printer and the paper is that the photos are cropped a tiny bit. You can add a white border around your photo to prevent that, but the border takes up so much space. For that i take away 1 star. Maybe someone knows a better way to prevent cropping on this particular printer and paper? Leave a comment if so!

This package gives you the paper and ink you need to get 108 4x6 prints (which can be split up in various arrangements with the Selphy or by using it with software that also allows you to make custom layouts). I find the quality to be superb, and far above the quality that I was getting from using inkjet setups.Best of all, the predictable ink/paper combo allows me to properly price my photobooth services to include an accurate estimate of what the materials will really cost me.The paper has a perforated edge on either side that helps the printer feed the paper through it's four passes (one each for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black), and they quickly rip off. Each ink cartridge is wrapped up in it's own plastic bag, and the paper is also split up into multiple packs sealed in plastic.Overall I've experienced none of the problems that other people seem to have encountered, and the ink and paper have been equally matched, with no incidence of streaking or needing to waste anything. If you just want nice quality prints (not high volume mind you, as that's just not cost effective), I highly recommend the Selphy printers and this paper/ink pack! I believe the new Selphy printer actually has wireless options so you can even print from a phone!

This product includes the paper and necessary "ink" cartridge to make superb 4x6 prints that also can be used as postcards with even an area marked for the appropriate postage stamp. The printer and paper/ink set produces superb quality DYE SUBLIMATION PRINTS. Glossy and wonderful colors. You also have the option for a group of images; different contrasts, red eye fix, even black and white. Yes, it does take about 48 to 50 seconds to get the print; but you don't need to run down to Walgreens if you don't want to. Great for groups, events and parties; Grandma goes home with instant memories. Great for forensic use and other "gotta have a "picture of this stuff." Don't leave prints in your car or boat; They will fade with harmful exposure. Dye Sub prints as they are known are much better than inkjet but also cost more. Walgreens which has great labs and techs is pretty inexpensive; but if a dollar or so a print does not bother you; its a winner. The AC adapter is white and bulky; so it that is something that concerns you; get the white printer. I my opinion Canon's setup is a bit better than the Sony machine overall, which I had for years. When you need bigger prints go to the new SONY pro stuff; expensive but a money maker for the event professional.

The most cost-effective paper and ink pack for the Selphy CP-series, comes down to about 27 cents per photo right now. The box contains three ink packs, each good for 36 prints, and six 18-photo-paper packs (The CP-760 can only hold 18 photos in its tray). Everything you need to print exactly 108 photos. The paper has Canon written on the back in light gray. The (note the "IP") has postcard back but is harder to find. These dye-sub packs print exactly the number of photos indicated, no more, no less, no matter the color coverage on the photo. The "ink" cartridge has a roll of 4-inch-wide film with 6-inch-long sections of each dye (yellow, magenta, cyan) followed by a clear coat, repeated exactly 36 times. When printing, each dye layer goes over the photo and transfers the color to the paper using heat. Sublimation is vaporizing the "ink" from the film in controlled amounts, which is then deposited onto the paper. The printer lets you see the photo at each stage which is neat. The final layer is a plastic clear coat that makes it smudge-proof and water-resistant.The result of this process is that the film inside the used ink cartridge ends up with accurate negatives of your prints in each color. That is why the cartridge can't be reused, but that also means the photos you printed can be recovered from a discarded "empty" cartridge. If that is a problem then I suppose you can yank the film out and dispose of it some other way (not heat as it may cause the remaining dye to vaporize in the air you breathe).
