I love these thimble. They are the only ones that fit my finger. Just wish they were better made. By the end of my project they are falling apart 💔

Good, but have to be aware of where the metal disc is, or get the needle in the finger

I have been quilting for years and have tried many different types of thimbles- this is my favorite! It fits great, is comfortable and easy to use!

I’ve been purchasing this leather thimble for years as an alternative to metal thimbles. While I choose them for the comfort, unfortunately the construction, quality of materials, and sizing is often inconsistent. This thimble shown was new out of the package - the leather material was thin to the point that my finger was pierced numerous times by my needle, and with just one use, in less than two hour’s stitching time it completely fell apart. Be aware that if you purchase this thimble you may get lucky and the quality will be ok, but chances are it won’t.

I think I've gotten a different brand before. The little metal piece in the end of this one seems to be smaller around and less thick, and is not glued in as well as the ones I've had previously. But, it will work well enough, for a while. My fingers are chunky, and I probably should have gotten the size large, as this is a bit more snug than I expected (again, different brand from what I've bought before.)

I knit. I like to keep several of these on hand for my knit in public project. It’s not my favorite leather thimble, but it’s replacable if I lose it. I’ve gone through several of these, mostly from wearing them out. I can’t say it’s a bad product, just that knitting isn’t the intended purpose for which it was designed and it shows. What happens is this: as I knit and continuously push the needle through with my finger, the metal tip of the knitting needle makes contact with the little metal disk that is in between the leather layers. Eventually the pressure loosens the layers and the metal works through then the whole thimble starts to come apart. Again, the thimble is not made for knitting, so I can’t complain. Btw, if you have long fingernails this thimble has a slit for your nail in theappropriate place. It is very a comfortable thimble while it holds up.

When I first got this thimble thought it was the most comfortable thing ever. However when sewing, the needle digs into the leather and tears it up. The leather is too soft where the needle goes. Within a week I could see the bare metal. Within a week and a half most of the metal was visible. The metal tip inside does not have any divots on it- it is a smooth piece. So the end of your needle slips around on it making it hard to sew. And if you're not careful the needle slips right off the metal and pokes you right in the finger! This product is going back and I will try a different leather thimble

I love these! It's really the perfect thimble for me. The best part is that it has an open top for your fingernail, and it also lets your finger breathe a bit. I eventually wear through them, usually with about six months of daily use (1+ hours), but for the price it's to be expected. The do stretch a bit, so order a smaller size than you think you may need.
