This is a sweet little simple "trigger"-style capo. It works great as it's a very simple springloaded capo. It applies very even pressure and is great for guitars with higher action. Very little retuning is needed, even compared to some other capos in my collection. But I admire its simplicity, it is great for someone who gigs and is scared of losing a higher-end capo at a gig or busking in the street. It is also great for practicing and in general, as a secondary capo for other guitars, acoustic or electric, you may have around the house. I certainly recommend it. Happy jamming with your new capo!

These capos are very handy to have as a back up but most of them that are copies of a well known brand that made these foirst have far lower quality springs meaning they lose tension and cause tuning issues very quickly. The spring on this feels good though and it even works on my baritone acoustic up at higher frets so far.I don't expect oit to stay that functional for any real length of time but it's good so far.

This capo is ok. I like a capo that the tension can be adjusted. This works good enough and hold the strings tight, It's shape is unusual. The spring is very strong but it's still easy to operate thanks to the design that gives you good leverage. It's worth it

I don't know why you would pay any more than this for a capo. It feels well made, it's easy to use with one hand and it does the job of a capo. It's pretty pleasing to look at with a decent black finish, and its nice and sturdy once it is on the neck. It is a little bit stiff out of the box, but I imagine that will change with use.Overall really impressed with it, would recommend it.

I've been looking for a Capo for a while as some of the songs I'm trying to learn, in my song book, require a capo to be able to learn the chords. This is a nice capo that has worked great on both an acoustic and electric guitar.Highly recommended product.

Provides all the benefits of a functional capo at a fantastic price. I have tested this on my Ibanez electric guitar as well as my Fender acoustic-electric and it works as expected on both. Most of the "usability" of a capo is simply around two functions: The ease of putting it on and taking it off, and, whether it stays on and provides the function of a capo consistently and across the entirety of the fretboard.I suppose its cheap because its a no frills variety capo - simply two pieces of metal lined with silicone or rubber pads to protect the fretboard, and a spring installation appropriately placed to provide tension against the strings on the fretboard. But it does the job admirably. I am curious how well the silicone/rubber padding will hold up because that is where my previous bargain capo (an entirely different item) failed where the padding that was glued on began to come loose. I didn't want to mess with glueing it back on and potentially getting glue on my strings/fretboard so it was tossed. So far so good with this one!

This did not disappoint! I ordered another brand not long ago that looked almost identical, however it was quite a bit stiffer - felt more like a hand grip strengthener. That's not good for the guitar neck or keeping it in tune. This one is more like I expected, just stiff enough to do the job.I have many capos, most of them are this style. I like to keep several around and one in every guitar case, so I don't get caught without. This one is worth getting.

I have been teaching guitar for over ten years, and my students often ask me about capos. Which one should they buy, do you need to spend an awful lot of money etc? So here's my two cents! There are capos out there for a great deal of money. If you own high end instruments and particularly if you're concerned with recording and intonation being spot on - then look at those branded options. I own many of them, running up to about £60, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. But, at under £5, that's not why we're looking at this particular capo. You're most likely looking for an inexpensive capo for a relatively inexpensive instrument. Or, perhaps, something a little more wallet friendly that you're not going to use that often. This will do you fine. In my experience of using this type of Chinese made capo, they are all pretty much the same, so hunt for the best prices. This one is simple and understatedly black and works fine on electric and acoustic guitars (not sure about ukes though). The spring mechanism on the model I received is quite stiff. It's already wearing in a little bit though - you don't want an overly herculean grip on your capo, as it'll pull your guitar tuning out and put unnecessary wear on your frets. I've sat in front of the TV with this one and worn the spring in for twenty minutes. It's fine now! Perfectly useable for not many pennies.

Generally, there isn’t a ton to say about a capo–it works well, the spring is of an appropriate strength, and the rubber padding is well done. But here’s a little bonus tip for capos: I generally don’t use them a lot in my music, but I always keep one around in cases for electric guitars that have Bigsby or Bigsby-style bridges. If you have those, you might know how frustrating they can be when you try to re-string them–you have to keep tension on the string as the ball ends sit on the little pegs of the tremolo, while trying to work with stringing them up at the top of the neck. But with a capo, you just attach the string to the bridge, pull on it around the middle of the neck, then attach the capo, which will hold it in place from the neck to the bridge. Then you can work with stringing it up easily up above!
