These stubby bits have lengths up to 20% shorter than standard length bits and are perfect for tight spots. Bits are made with premium S2 steel. Was hesitant to buy a stubby version of such a large bit size. The image shows little spline purchase which made me nervous. I attempted to use this bit on a wheel bearing bolt that was VERY tight. After applying a tremendous amount of force, the bit blasted out of the bolt. upon closer inspections, I saw that the bolt head cavity had been stripped from the middle of its depth. As I suspected might happen, the bit only engaged halfway into the triple square cavity, allowing for the bolt to slip and strip under large amounts of force. For low torque applications, this bit is probably fine. I don't recommend using this with a breaker bar. In the end, I had to purchase a non-stubby version of this bit to get sufficient engagement with the bolt head. Bolt appears to be well made and durable.

I've got a 2019 jetta that had a loose door. Didn't have a tool to tighten it and felt wussy to take it to the dealership for something so dumb. It annoying the crap out of me. Worked great
