It's just "ok". My son's car smell likes smoke and refuse to ride in it. He has been using these ashtray for about a month and his car still smells like smoke. He said he can tell the difference, I can't. The good thing is that the ashtray is deep but then the bad part is that because it is deep, he probably smokes more knowing he has a deeper place to put the ashes. I guess what makes it smell proof is that it has a lid BUT while my son is smoking, the lid is open. Again, it's just "ok". I think more of a gimmick

i found these to be better than the versions you can buy in my local area. These have a small blue led that lights just enough to see where you are putting the cigarette out and there are two snuffer spots that allow you to save your cigarette if you have to put it out before you are finished i like that if you are running errands and need to put it out here and there. The others have a snuffer enclosed into the middle just room enough to put your cigarette in which gets burned up by the others that fall in and the hole always gets clogged up when it isnt full. these could use another feature and its the only thing id suggest different and that is a spot to set the cig while when you may not want to put it out just a notch in between the two snuffers maybe i dont know but they are nice looking and blend into a nice interior car and they are portable to interchange vehicles or to take them anywhere else you may want to use one. they fit nicely into the cupholders most cars have already and these days they dont include ashtrays or cigarette lighters in the cars anymore. These are a necessary accessory for any driver who smokes in their vehicles.

These ash trays are much better up close and personal than the pictures. They have a super easy push button that opens the top as well as it turns the blue light on. The light is bright but because of the direction it beams in it doesn't bother me when I'm driving. It holds quite a few butts and plenty of ashes too. I have not noticed any harsh scent in my car so they seal very well too. I like that there are 2 of them so I have one for each vehicle. I highly recommend these ashtrays.

When I received this it came in a 2-pack in which I was surprised, as I didn't realize that I was going to get 2 of them. It also has a little blue LED light in the lid that turns on when you open the lid, so if you're on your back patio at night with the light off, you won't miss the ashtray and ash all over the ground. When I closed the lid after dropping a still lit, but almost finished cigarette in it, it didn't let any smoke out. It's a lot better than those kind that just have a hole in the center of the lid.

Do not buy these ashtrays! These are made out of a very cheap non-fire resistant plastic, when you go to Ash your cigarette in the receptacles where you are supposed to be able to extinguish them the heat from the cigarette begins to melt the plastic and you will start seeing plastic drip down into the bottom pan I noticed it starting to burn so this is not an ashtray that you want to keep in your car or in your house or anything else that can catch on fire around it. These are extremely dangerous for putting lit cigarettes into. Had they had been made out of a much more dense heavy duty plastic that is meant to resist heat a lot better than we'd be having a completely different conversation but these while are a good design, are not made out of good materials and therefor are completely worthless/dangerous. Buyers beware, it's not worth the risk.
