Fits well, taller water bottles can get in the way of elbow room but really great product!

These cup holders are very handing you can open them wide for a big bottle or you can close them down small enough for a can drink or a normal water bottle. They’re surprisingly very sturdy! I’ve got a 40oz bottle I’ll fill it up and it holds it secure and never had an issue of it falling out or turning it over or damaging the product. It’s super easy to put in your cup holder and works great. I bought one for my work truck and a day or two after having it my work partner ordered one also. Super easy to take it out if you want to for some reason if you ever decide to move it from vehicle to vehicle. Definitely worth the money!

I bought two to fit in my dual cup holder in my Caddy. They fit perfect and saved me from having a spill if I had a different one. You can adjust them very easily. Great product and definitely worth the price

I got this as a Christmas gift for my mother who is always annoyed by the fact that she can’t use her cup holders since she usually either has a mug of coffee, a thermos, or a large water bottle none of which fit in the standard car cup holders. This product can easily hold a coffee mug secure or a 40 oz water bottle (in the image attached). Just two days later my dad asked me to order a second one for his car. The cup holder extender was able to easily be installed in both of my parents cars despite those cars havingdifferently shaped cup holders. Honestly a super useful purchase if you carry a water bottle or mug.

Short backstory: I used a 50 oz Reduce mug with a DIY/custom made holder (lots of pvc pipe parts, some foam noodle bits and a couple of small towels) in a Tesla Model Y. The holder works, but takes up a lot of room, completely blocking access to the front console storage. Also makes it awkward to use the screen, charging pad and even placing the key card if needed. Plus, it’s a bit of an eyesore.By chance I saw a photo of someone using an expanded cup holder in a review for the same mug. So this holder became the first of three I purchased within the same week.Yes, the base is secure when mounted into the car’s cup holder. And yes it can hold the mug from tipping over. But that’s barely it.The top half is “mostly secure” to the bottom half. That means it wobbles, a lot, when I drive. Since my mug is used for soda, that then means it’s shaking all the gas out of it as I drive, making it flatter and flatter. For reference, my mug in the custom holder doesn’t even get noticeably flat even after doing deliveries all evening (5 hours or so). While the new holder made my drink noticeable within the 15 minutes just to get to work. It’s rather unpleasant.A more minor complaint is that it’s quite tall, which probably doesn’t help with the stability of the top portion.So, the search continues from here…Update:After going through two more mug holders, I had thought I had to compromise with the third mug holder and using a mug that relied on a flip top lid, which I hate.But it turns out that, while the main upper portion of the third mug holder didn't wobble, the arms themselves moved enough that the mug I was using still shook quite a bit.What I decided to do was try a different approach and attempt to modify the mug holder in this review. I had thought about trying to see if I could take it apart and then see if there was a way to tighten anything. But I didn't have the right tools on me at that moment and didn't feel like going out to the garage in the middle of the night to get them.After looking over it some more and confirming that the neck where the upper portion attached was wobbly for two reasons, I found out that once the lower twist collar was turned all the way until the arms in the base were fully extended, it basically prevented the neck from wobbling. At least in relation to the base. I doubted that the cup holder in my car would allow it to fully extend, but I had hoped it would still secure the neck when the base was mounted in the cup holder. And when I checked the next day, it did. So it was unlikely to be the reason the top wobbles.The top was still a problem.The neck of the bottom portion attaches onto a smaller piece on the underside of the top portion. While those two parts make a very snug fit, that piece on the underside moves in relation to the rest of the top portion. And with a gap around the neck when inserted into the top, it can move quite a bit. And I'd guess this, is the real reason it wobblesI was able to find a roll of electrical tape in one of my cabinets, so I applied one layer around the neck of the bottom portion in the hopes of filling in some of that gap.The result is that is does work. The mug holder is much more stable than before, to the point where my drink isn't noticeable flatter after the initial drive to work. It seems to last most of the evening of driving.I'll try to see if I can add a second layer to see if I can make it even more secure.With that, I'll raise the rating to 4 stars. It's still a bit tall for my liking and obviously, I shouldn't need to modify it to make it secure. And those two would normally be a 3 star for me. But I'm feeling happy at a more usable mug holder, so I'll give them an extra star.

I’m impressed with how well made this is! I saw several for almost $30 and decided on this one since it was a more reasonable price. No regrets! It’s easy to put together, easy to adjust, and sturdy! It secures my cups and mugs perfectly while keeping them in reach while I drive. I liked it so much that I just ordered a second one for my wife!
