I bought this for my dad to use to get in and out of his SUV, so I tested it on my Honda pilot first. It worked well and it feels like it will be able to support his weight. I don’t have mobility issues, but I tried to simulate it and I was able to get myself out of the car easier. My dad isn’t very restricted, but likes to use his arms to get out of chairs to avoid pain in his knees. So I did try the window strap, but I like that it’s there in case he’s ever ill and needs the extra assistance.

Everyone that uses my car door handle, instantly loves it. It makes it so much easier for a person with mobility issues to exit the vehicle. Not sure about the strap that goes around the top of the door frame (with the window open). But the door handle is great!

I like the strap that came with it. My first one that got let in our van didn’t have that, it is a real help.

When weight applied to handle assist by a 122 pound person the plastic end broke off.

It is handy and easy to use and small enough to store in a handy place in the care. I am thinking of making them presents for my family.
