Every other similar listing was deceptively thin and basically useless, this one is the perfect thickness for tightly reinforcing a compromised door seal. The seal around my rear swing-out tailgate had failed and was leaking heavily while going through the car wash or in heavy rain. This sealed it perfectly, not a drop gets inside now.

I have spent some time trying to figure out how to best utilize this foam tape for my 10-year old van. Eventually I found a way to tape it both along the exiting plastic edges which are aging , shrink and hardened; as well as along the outer edges of the door. For details, pls see my photo.Prior to applying this foam tape per my above-mentioned method, I felt the obvious wind noise particularly driving on Highway; and also there were condensation shown along the lower inside edges of the door windows. Now, the wind noise has been reduced significantly on highway driving. Yet the condensation issue is not tested yet till winter comes. I am positive that condensation would be improved as all my doors edges are now firmly re-secured. The reduction of external noise proves this.I withhold one star because this tape canât be reused if I take it out once from the surface it was on.

CHUANJI Car Door Seal Strip Adhesive Review.Although this seal strip product does not fit my vehicle (different design), I used some material to replace weather seal strips on a window and the inner frame of a doorway inside my home. I cut a few test pieces to check for clearances first. Once the area is cleaned, the adhesive-backed seal strip bonds to plastic and metal. The manufacturer/seller recommends the adhesive undergo a 24-hour chemical reaction for best bonding results. The seal strip kit is well-packaged and includes instructions, prep cleaning pads and a small utility knife. The material is easy to work with and cut to size. I did not find any defects in the material. Overall, I am satisfied with this product.

This door seal strip appears to be made of a high-quality rubber and the adhesive strip seals tight to the metal frame of a car door.

This is a bit smaller than I expected for my primary use of weatherproofing a leaky car door. It's a neat design, but I expected something heavier duty. My fault for not paying attention to the photos. And the packaging was only bare bones, with a plastic wrap that, once removed, left me with the strip and a cardboard circle. Since I wasn't using it all at once, I'll have to come up with another storage solution.Additionally, it comes with one package of "adhesive aid", which is really just a tiny square of disposable wipe with solvent on it for cleaning the surface. I expected like an alcohol wipe, but this is stronger stuff. Don't inhale the fumes. Since I only used about four feet of the strip, once I used the solvent, that was it. I'll have to just clean any other surfaces on my own the next time I use some of it. It would be nice if it came with multiple packets of the cleaner.Okay, enough of the complaining. I did give this four stars after all. When I applied the strip, first I wiped off the area (the top ridge of my front passenger door on the frame itself) with a wet paper towel, then with a dry one. Then I used the solvent wipe to do a final cleanse. I let it air dry for about a minute, and measure out the amount of strip I needed. Then I started to peel off the plastic backing and pressed the sticky side onto the car frame. As I applied it, I continued peeling it off. My partner helped a bit, but it could be done with one person without too much trouble. It stuck really well and within a minute I had applied all four feet. I closed the door and left it alone. As luck would have it, we had a big rain storm a couple days later. Normally when this happens, water leaks in that side and gets the interior of my car wet, and a mildew smell starts to form until I air it out. So far, the bad smell hasn't become permanent, but I'm worried about that happening. After I put this strip on, though, the day after the storm I went out and checked my car. Dry as a bone inside, and no smell! So it worked perfectly for my needs. To be clear, I did not remove my existing weatherstripping. I just added this extra piece in a spot that didn't have any, so basically it compresses into the existing strip on the door itself. I think that stripping had a bit of damage causing the leak. So I can't vouch for this in all situations. Still, I'm pretty happy with it, and I might apply it to the other three doors and see if it helps with soundproofing, it's other purported benefit.
