Just a cute way to keep my gearshift from burning my hand if the car is been sitting in the sun. You have to remember to use it lol. I keep it on my gearshift knob in my six speed Honda and just pop it over the top when I’m getting out. Hot summer problem solved

The item is cheap yet I like the look. I won't bother returning it. I have a 2013 Subaru WRX with an STI transmission swap, so the 6 speed. It's hot out at the moment, in the 90s. I have a black metal shifter knob. With the hood over it, still really hot. Granted I rarely use my sun visor (personal flaw, gotta get better with that). The material is very thin, maybe the sun punches right through it. With my shifter, I have to pull up the reverse lockout. Pretty annoying with this thing out. As stated, I like the visual design though.

It's a great idea but when you try to put it on a ford shifter it holds the shifter button

My husband thought it was a silly purchase until he got in the car and the shifter didn't freeze his hand! The stars do glow in the dark which is pretty cool. It fit my Kia Sorento perfectly!
