I love these handles for getting out of the car. They work very well for elderly or disabled people, or just anyone who needs a hand standing up. You hook it into the little metal loop when the car door is open, and it makes it like a handle to grab and push your weight onto while you stand. It's very easy to use, easy to grip, and it fits right in the metal loop and doesn't fall out or slip. After you use it you just take it out of the metal loop again and slip it into your car door storage pocket or glove box, to be ready to be used next time. I also like how you can use the tip to break a car window in case of being submerged in water. That's a bonus. The price is very fair also. Definitely worth getting for anyone who could use help standing from a car.

I ordered this thinking it would help me get in and out of the car (Lexus 450h) for use while recovering from two full hip replacements as entering & exiting vehicles was the most difficult & painful. It did not work for that for me as it tended to be more in the way of where my hips had to slide on to the seat so it made for an awkward movement to avoid the support. It just isn’t worth using for me with my SUV. Your car & circumstances may be different. The belt cutter cuts thick material okay, and I assume the hammer will work. I ordered this one for the plastic cover that fits over the hammer tip thinking it would prevent scratching of the door jam when used as a support, but I don’t think it was designed with that in mind as the plastic piece get stuck in the latch when you pull the hammer out or falls off & ends up being a hassle to find & pick up each time. The protective tip does however prevent marking the inside of my console when stored. I always thought I should have one of these in case of an accident involving my car or someone else’s so it checks those boxes & the two pack is a great value…one for each car.

I have arthritis in my knees & it was difficult for me to enter & exit my SUV. I liked that these car door handles was able to support up to 450 lbs. The car door handles are made of steel which ensures exceptional durability. It provided me with strong stability and allowed me to enter and exit the vehicle independently and safely. I also like that the handles was a perfectly fit in my hands, preventing hand slips. The plus for me is the 3-in-1 design. It also functions as an emergency seatbelt cutter and window breaker.

Solidly made handle, there is a some wiggle in the fitment because the handles peg is a bit smaller than the ring on the door frame but once it is torqued into one side or the other with hand pressure it holds solidly. Great for someone who recently broke their leg and needs a little extra support grip area to exit the car. It is small enough to fit conveniently in the console storage and the two pack lets us keep on in each vehicle.

I am not going to try breaking a window with it to see, but it seems to be quite solid and have some heft to it to use if such an emergency comes up, and the razor would likely cut through a seat belt- again, not going to test that on mine. It seemed very solid to use as a support using the door latch.I do wonder if there is any possible harm over time to the latch? If anyone knows for sure, I wish they would gie us info & sources on that.The seller's pictures are very accurate. It was nice that there are 2 devices in the package- you can keep one in the door storage slot on each side of the vehicle, or one for each vehicle- or one in the one you use and one in the house to grab and take with you to use when riding with someone else. It might be nice if there was a small hole to insert a lanyard or carrying clip in the device for carrying it or clipping it to a tote bag. It is a bit large to clip to a belt loop, though so I guess guys would have to drop it into their vet or jacket side pockets when traveling via friend's vehicle.The device only works on the vehicles I tried it on when it is inserted parallel to the vehicle- it will not work insreted perpendicular to the vehicle- I think it might be nice if that could be done, maybe more useful when getting out of divers side at least. Being the direction across the opening, it takes out some of the maneuvering room you have, so it might be good not to get one longer than you really need for hand support with a good grip. I think teh mor right-angled devices look like they will feel more secure to grip than those that are more curved, which is why I chose this one. Admittedly however, I have not tried the more curved styles.This one looks nice, and feels good in the hand, seeming to provide a good and secure grip, long enough for a man' hand. I will have to use it more to feel more comfortable with it and decide exactly how useful it actually is for me. Right now it still feels just a bit awkward.

It will work, but the handle is cheap plastic and I don't know how long it will last. It weighs less than 5 oz.The handle is hard plastic with a very thin, rubbery sheath. It is not cushioned. The point fit into the latch of a 2016 Ford Escape and a 2024 Cadillac. However, the rubber cover on the break tip makes it tight and when you pull it out it either keeps it stuck in the latch or comes off. I would not want to store this without the cover. Very annoying.It is a 3 in 1, and is supposed be able to act as a window break and seat belt cutter in an emergency. I can't try the break function, but I would not trust my in-laws life to it. There is not enough weight for anyone who is not already quite strong to break a car window. Maybe plate glass??The cutter worked on fabric, but I couldn't test that on anything as durable as a seat belt. Again, I would not trust a life to it.It will work as a seat assist, but probably not for long.
