This tool works great for front toe alignments. It's very tough to get the steering wheel straight sometimes depending on the design. This tool grabs onto the steering wheel firmly and attaches a digital inclinometer. This makes a level steering wheel as easy as reading the 0.00°.This tool comes very well packaged. It really feels like a precision instrument. There are no instructions included in the box, but the tool is very easy to understand if you've done alignments before. The batteries are also not included. It takes two AAAs that are on the back of the inclinometer cover. You need to remove 4 tiny screws for battery installation. The inclinometer is very sensitive. The vehicle's engine running makes the readings jump all over. Definitely do not idle the engine while trying to measure the steering wheel. The magnets holding the inclinometer in place are very strong. It's not falling off on it's own, for sure. The whole tool is very well machined and it's quality is superb. The adjustment knobs hold the arms firmly and in place. Very little pressure is needed from the knobs; there's no need to crank them down. The springs move smoothly in the bore. There's no binding or crunchy noises when compressing them.I mentioned before that the inclinometer is sensitive. This is a good thing because it gives accurate readings (as long as your lift/floor is level).I can also see this being an issue with "perfectionist" behavior. A 0.00° reading is nice to have, but not always necessary. 99% of customers won't be able to tell the difference anyway, and time lost fussing over a perfect reading matters. There's also too many variables to consider whenever chasing down a perfect reading. On that note, it's definitely nice to have a zeroed reading when working with those "1%" customers.Sometimes a quick verification is necessary, too. The tool can be zeroed in any position, it resets when powered ON/OFF.I can also see it helping to sell alignments. You can give hard numbers to a customer instead of an opinion. It makes your shop more professional and gives customers confidence in your work.Another good thing about the tool is that its design does not interfere with other alignment tools. And finally, the inclinometer can be removed from the mount and used for other jobs as needed. The readings can be changed to % if you need them to be.Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this tool. I think it's worth every penny and am glad to have it on my alignment rack.
